Good morning, and happy Tuesday! We are THE RESALE BABIES, and we're so happy to meet all of you! We might look like we live the "posh" life, but it couldn't be far from the truth! Truth is, we lived under a shed for most of our lives, and our mama was feral. She did everything for us, and when some really heavy rains came in last week, she took us up on a porch of the house where the shed was, and got us to safety. The kind woman took us in, although our stinker of a brother, DePop, wouldn't come near her and had to be trapped! Caught you, DePop, hahaha!! Our mama stayed behind, and was fixed just today, so she will be able to live out her life on that property. As for us, we are starbound, and the outdoor life is not suited for us. We have gotten a taste of it here at True Rescue, and let us say, it is pretty magnificent! We are currently in a kennel awaiting getting moved into one of their kitten rooms, but you can come to the shelter any day of the week between the hours of 11-3 to meet us, and perhaps adopt us! We would just LOVE that! If we aren't adopted this week, then we will be here for the ADOPTION EVENT taking place this coming Saturday, so be looking out for all of the announcements for that. We are one lucky litter, to have been rescued, and so many out there need help, which True Rescue can only do if adoptions happen. It won't be hard to love us, we can promise you that. Thank you so much for your attention, and we hope to get much more of it coming up! The link to apply to adopt us is below, and you all have a wonderful day!

We had a brilliant turnout of adopters this week, with a total of THIRTY-THREE ADOPTIONS! We are so happy that some of our adult kitties found homes, on top of the dozens of kittens that are starting their new life with new families. You guys are just the BEST! It's obvious that our kitties fell in love with you during your meet and greets, and even more obvious in these pictures! Thank you for opening up your hearts and your arms for these kitties, which enables us to go and save more. If we can keep this momentum going throughout the summer, so many more lives will be saved, thanks to you!

Have a wonderful rest of your Sunday, keep the smiles going, and the adoptions coming, and we'll see you next week!

Our SHELTER SERENADE SPOTLIGHT is back! This time we had the pleasure of welcoming the talented Jennifer Alvarado of Jennifer Alvarado Music to our stage with our jam-packed audience of felines.

Country-Alt artist Jennifer Alvarado is redefining what it means to be a country artist in today’s music scene. Fusing the heartfelt storytelling of 90s country with the raw, unfiltered honesty of alternative rock, her sound has been described as “Deana Carter meets Alanis Morissette.” But she isn’t just blending genres—she’s telling the truth with songs about love, loss, trauma, and redemption with a fearless vulnerability that sets her apart.

Born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina, Alvarado’s love for music began at age four when her grandfather placed a guitar in her hands. She found her voice early in church and school performances, but devastating loss and relentless bullying in middle school silenced her for years. Though others recognized her talent, crippling performance anxiety pushed her into writing in secret. It wasn’t until her mid-teens when she began leading worship, that she slowly reclaimed her confidence.

Her path wasn’t traditional. Despite earning a music scholarship, she pursued degrees in Political Science and Family Ministries, preparing for careers in law and ministry. She worked as an Intellectual Property Paralegal, led worship at two churches, and taught guitar and ukulele – all while music kept calling. In 2020, she took a leap and submitted her songs to Indie Star Radio. The response was immediate, leading to her being named Country Artist of the Year in 2021.

Since then, Alvarado has become one of the most relentless independent artists in the genre, performing over 200 shows a year across the country. She’s played iconic venues like The Viper Room, intimate coastal clubs, and stages throughout NC, TN, GA, VA, SC, CT, KY, and TX, with a goal of reaching all 50 states and international audiences.

Beyond the music, she is deeply passionate about using her platform to make a difference. She is actively involved in Celebrate Recovery, prison ministry, and organizations supporting women overcoming addiction and homelessness. She volunteers at various local recovery-based ministries in North Carolina, Tennessee Oncology in Nashville, and Meals on Wheels. She was named the “2025 Damien Horne Humanitarian of the Year” by the Carolina Country Music Association. Jennifer Alvarado is more than a musician — she is a storyteller, an advocate, and proof that resilience and faith can carve out a space where none seemed to exist. She isn’t chasing fame or fortune. She’s chasing meaning, moments, and the chance to remind others that their voice, their dreams, and their stories matter.

Thank you, Jennifer, we were honored, and our kitties all gave you "four paws up" after hearing your heartfelt performance.

If you, or anyone you know has a talent they would like to share with our kitties, please reach out to us via email at [email protected]. Thanks!

Good morning! We are officially kicking off the ADOPTION EVENT happening today at both PetSmart in Mt. Juliet, and the True Rescue Shelter at 12110 Lebanon Rd in Mt. Juliet. We are BLAKE & SHELTON!! We were found as small kittens abandoned in a garage, after the owners had left. We've been in a foster home getting well again. As you can see, Blake's left eye is not great. She has undergone multiple treatments, so a potential enucleation of the eye might be in her future. It's okay because she sees just fine out of the other eye! We will be at the True Rescue shelter today for this event, and it is already in full swing, so come on over!!

Good morning! We are WINSTON & WALLACE, and it's a beautiful day for an ADOPTION EVENT! We are kicking off the day with good vibes, because we feel pretty solid about our chances of finding a new family soon.

We were brought all the way from Attala county, MS after being found in a boat on a property there. It was clear our mama was not returning, and we were in pretty rough shape. We were taken to a foster home where we learned to drink from a bottle for a short spell, and then easily transitioned to solid food. We are super healthy now, and we are so happy to be shooting our shot today at the show! We urge you, if you are coming, to look deep into our eyes, so that we can cast our spell on you. Our eyes have special powers, and possibly might work just through our pictures here. If that is the case, then fill out the application form before you arrive.

OH, AND HUGE NOTE HERE - We are going to be at the True Rescue Shelter (12110 Lebanon Rd, Mt. Juliet, TN), and NOT at PetSmart with the other previously announced kittens. There will be several dozen kittens, including ourselves, at the shelter, on top of the close to 30 kittens at PetSmart, so plan on going to both places if you want to check everyone out. They just kinda had to space things out since there are so many kittens needing homes, on top of the hundreds of adult cats needing homes as well. We are getting excited, and can't wait to see you guys soon!

Good evening! We will be the last introduction of the evening, and remember...they saved the best for last! We are MAMA WENDY AND THE FAST FOOD BABIES! Meet my little nuggets...Frosty, Tendy, Burgy and French Fry! There was a long time where I didn't think my nuggets would ever be here. I was found pregnant in a trailer park in DeKalb County, TN that was being condemned. True Rescue was called to save all of us, so they came out and pulled dozens of us cats and kittens from the property. They are continuing to still pull from there, and are actually getting the remaining feral cats out of there this weekend. Sometimes good things can come from bad things. While it was horrible that this trailer park is getting demolished, it was a bright light for us cats, as attention was drawn to the fact that we were completely unsafe out there, and needed removal. There is no telling what would have happened to me otherwise. I was taken to a foster where I gave birth happily and safely, and now here we are, and it's a genuine pleasure to meet you!

My babies will be at the ADOPTION EVENT tomorrow at the PetSmart in Mt. Juliet, TN from 11-3. I'll be available after my spay surgery next week, so don't forget about me! There will also be hundreds of other cats and kittens at the True Rescue shelter tomorrow as well, so you might want to check both places out.

You might notice my little French Fry's left eye looking funny. She was born with a malformed eye, and it will require full enucleation. She can't have the surgery until she is 3 months old, so she will be held back until the surgery is complete. You can still apply to adopt her though, because she is a sweetheart! Our wonderful foster mama decided to adopt Tendy, so it will be just Frosty and Burgy at the event tomorrow, which would make a striking pair to adopt together possibly? You just have to meet them in person! Fill out the application form below, and we'll see you tomorrow at the show!

If you haven't guessed by now, we are MAMA REN & THE PAW-LOOSE BABIES (because we have paws, not feet). We're a throwback to a great movie where kids just wanted to dance, but were prohibited. Like those kids, we just wanted to be free (in our own way)! I was pulled from a property in Smithville, TN, where True Rescue was taking us out of an unsafe environment and putting us into foster homes. There were so many cats and kittens there, and it was very crowded and sometimes scary. Our only source of food was on that property, so I had nowhere to go. I was very pregnant, so it felt so good to be inside a home environment, once True Rescue saved me. My babies were born healthy, safe and happy. Now our next adventure begins, which is finding a new home! My babies will be at the ADOPTION EVENT tomorrow at PetSmart in Mt. Juliet, TN, and I have a date with a surgical table on Wednesday! Once I'm ensured to never have babies again, I get to go up for adoption too, and I can't wait. For now, I'll be rooting for my babies to dance their paws off tomorrow, and find a good home. Please come out and show your support! They will be there from 11-3. You can also go to the shelter to see even more cats and kittens during that same timeframe. Thanks again for helping this rescue that saved me. Let's dance!!

TGIF!!! We are MAMA MELODY & THE MUSIC BABIES! Well, we are movin' and a groovin' getting ready to go to the show of all shows tomorrow....THE ADOPTION EVENT! WOOO HOOO! Well, here's my story, and it's a good one! I had managed to give birth in the recycle section of the Dollar General in Mt. Juliet, TN, and someone spotted Staccato running around, who led them to the other kittens, which led them to me! I guess I kind of wanted to be spotted actually, and I did let them round me and my babies up in a box and all. I figured I had to trust at some point! They brought me over to True Rescue, who got us into an amazing foster home right away. I had always dreamed that the indoor life was wonderful, but I really had no idea the scope of how wonderful it really is. I don't want to go anywhere else outside, and I certainly am fine leaving this outdoor unsafe world behind me.

Now my babies are all grown, so they will be at the ADOPTION EVENT at the PetSmart in Mt. Juliet, TN tomorrow from 11-3. I'm going to stay behind, since this coming week is when I am getting fixed for good! Hopefully after that, someone will see it in their heart to take me home. I warm up slowly, but once I'm yours...I'm yours. You just have to give me a chance. Until then, please give my babies a chance, and let them bring some much-needed music into your quiet lives. They are taking center stage, and it will be an entire symphony, I promise, just open up your ears (and your hearts) and sing along, because we are playing your song!

Ahoy, and good evening! We are THE ANCHORS AWAY BABIES! Our mama, Mama Dinghy, couldn't make it for the photo session, on account of being what they call "feral-ish". Don't worry, they are going to set her on a straight course at True Rescue, so she can sail her way to loving humans! Mama gave birth to us outdoors in a neighborhood in Lebanon, TN. Once we started running around, the neighbors took notice, and started worrying for our safety. True Rescue came and picked us up, and then mama was trapped and brought in. We've been in a foster home, which has been swell, but it's time for us to set sail as well and find our new homes! We will all 3 be at the ADOPTION EVENT taking place tomorrow at PetSmart in Mt. Juliet, TN from 11-3. There will be close to 30 kittens needing homes at that event, PLUS if you go to the True Rescue shelter, there will be dozens more kittens there on top of hundreds of adult cats of all ages needing homes. Please make plans to go to both places and check everyone out! We hope our mama will get better soon, and will love humans as much as we do. She is already starting to let her sails down a little bit more every day, so stay tuned!

We hope to see everyone tomorrow, and please be sure and fill out applications at the link below, to save time. Thanks so much for your support, and we'll see you soon!
