On this day when it seems our President has started a new war, it seems appropriate for me to release Broken Bodies of War, an anti-war song I wrote about 10 years ago after a doctor appointment at the Walter Reed National Naval Military Hospital in Bethesda. I created this video today and decided to enter it into a song contest sponsored by Talent is Timeless (so, we'll see how that goes)

I’m excited about this season’s ArtStream production with Gaithersburg Company B. ArtStream, Inc.

The theme is “game night” and the original script is still in development, but I’ve already been working on writing/recording music for the show. The songs are influenced by a variey of styles from Motown, Country, Rock, Big Band, Tango, Disco, Spy Theme, and more. Lyrics and melodies will start taking shape in the next month. Performances will be May 16 & 17.

Tonight marks the exciting launch of the ArtStream theater season, and I'm thrilled to embark on my fourth year as Music Director for Gaithersburg Company B, where I'll have the opportunity to craft and record a new collection of songs that will bring the production to life.

Just found files from an old laptop. It’s a time capsule/treasure trove of videos I did as song demos, and song chord progression ideas from 2008-2009. Some of those ideas were developed as songs for The Treading Lemmings (the band I was playing with at the time) and ended up being recorded on one of our albums Some of the ideas were never explored, and the full song demos were mostly me working through my confused state after my marriage ended and I was stepping into the dating pool. Looking back, some of those song lyrics are a little embarrassing as a window into my emotional state almost 15 years. Even so, I think I wrote some pretty decent music that less than a handful of people have ever heard.
Maybe I’ll share some on this page, but the video quality is pretty bad from a we**am on a circa 2008 HP Laptop. I had to convert the original “avi” files to MP4, so I could view them on my MacBook.
