One of my clients told me she felt like her body was “aging faster” than it should…

Nothing crazy… just lower energy, slower recovery, that kind of thing.

So we ran her through a quick “biological age” check.

Her reaction?

“Wait… that actually explains a lot.” 😅

I turned it into a simple calculator you can use too.

Takes just a couple of minutes.

Women over 50, has your body felt a little slower to react lately? There is a reason for that, and it has nothing to do with just getting older.

It comes down to one fitness quality that starts fading before most people even notice: power.

The ability to move quickly, catch yourself, react fast, and feel in control of your body.

The good news: it responds to training at every age.

Start here this week:

✅ Fast sit-to-stands
✅ Quick step-ups
✅ Ball slams (or pillow slams!)
✅ Dancing, pickleball, tennis, or golf

Anything that makes your body move with speed and intention counts!

Ready to feel quick, strong, and confident again? My Completely Fit program is built for women over 50 who want to feel ready for whatever life throws at them.

DM me “FAST” to get the details.

Most women over 50 think aging well is complicated.

It’s not.

It comes down to a few key habits your body actually responds to — and they’re all trainable.

✅ Strength train regularly
✅ Eat in a way that supports your body
✅ Pay attention to your grip strength
✅ Sleep at consistent times
✅ Keep your balance and mobility in check
✅ Load your bones with real resistance
✅ Have a reason to get up and move every day

Focus on the basics. Do them consistently.

For your shoulder.

1. Release the lat muscle.
2. Activate the deeper muscles of the shoulder.
3. Integrate the new range of motion under control using an optimal strategy with light to no weight.

What actually gets you out of bed in the morning?

For me… it varies.

Some days it’s seeing a client like Peggy, who’s finally feeling stronger and more mobile after years of struggling.

Other days, it might be a day on the water with family and friends.

I don't believe in just one big purpose. Instead, it’s more like a collection of smaller ones.

Research shows that having a strong sense of purpose can lower the risk of developing dementia by a staggering 36%.

That’s a big deal!

But your “purpose” doesn’t have to be monumental.

It can be as simple as:

Someone you care for deeply...
A personal goal you’re working toward...
A routine that brings you joy...
Even just a part of your day that you look forward to.
So, think about it this way:

What’s in your “bucket” right now? 🪣

And what feels missing?

If one of the things missing is feeling energized, mobile, and confident in your body again, I’m here to help with that.

DM me “START” and let’s explore what that could look like for you.

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is involved in various processes, including brain plasticity, learning and memory, neuronal development, nociception, inflammation, appetite regulation, digestion, metabolism, energy balance, motility, and regulation of stress and emotions.

Physical exercise (PE) is considered a valuable non-pharmacological therapy that is an immediately available and cost-effective method with a lot of health benefits, one of them being the activation of the endogenous cannabinoids.

📝 How did you score?

The sitting-rising test sounds simple, but it measures strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and muscle power all at once, which is why researchers found it so strongly linked to longevity.

The good news: no matter how you scored, you can get better at it!

✅ Mobility improves with practice
✅ Balance responds to targeted training
✅ Strength builds at every age

If you’re having chronic pain or struggling with mobility, this is exactly where to focus.

Want help improving your score (and how your body feels day-to-day)?

My 1:1 coaching program helps women over 50 rebuild strength and mobility in a way that actually fits their life.

It is estimated that more than 90% of patients who undergo abdominal or pelvic surgery will develop postoperative adhesions. Additionally, adhesions can cause chronic pain (in the abdomen, lower back, neck, hips, etc), infertility, [digestive issues], and increased complexity of subsequent intra-abdominal operations.

The effects of scar tissue and adhesions can seem dormant or as though you do not have them and can affect you 'out of the blue'. Learning and practicing three-dimensional breathing exercises is your best defense to keep the tissue mobile.
