π Successful schools don't stay successful by accident.
For the past three days, the Stringfellow Guiding Coalition Team has been hard at work preparing for the 2026-2027 school year. While students are enjoying summer break, our leaders have been studying results, challenging assumptions, strengthening our systems, and planning for how we can ensure every student learns and succeeds at high levels.
One thing is clear:
Yesterday's success does not guarantee tomorrow's success.
Championship cultures are built by leaders who are willing to do the work, ask the hard questions, and never become satisfied with where they are.
The work has been done.
The plan is in place.
Now it's time to execute.
π Stringfellow Elementary: Where Champions Begin!

The work starts now.

πSTRINGFELLOW EDUCATORS LEAD BREAKOUT SESSION AT LEADERSHIP SUMMITπ
Today, Stringfellow Elementary was proud to be represented at the Colquitt County Leadership Summit by Academic Coach Taylor Baggett and 5th Grade Teachers Erika Sikes and Shaneisha Milton, who facilitated a breakout session focused on academic vocabulary and student achievement.
During their session, they shared how intentional vocabulary instruction across reading, mathematics, science, and social studies is helping students access rigorous content, engage in deeper learning, and strengthen academic achievement.
Their presentation highlighted practical strategies that support students in developing the academic language needed to think critically, communicate effectively, and demonstrate mastery of the Georgia Standards of Excellence.
What makes this work especially meaningful is that it reflects the daily efforts of our teachers and students. Through collaboration, high expectations, and a commitment to continuous improvement, our team continues to create meaningful learning experiences that help all students learn and excel.
We are incredibly proud of Taylor, Erika, and Shaneisha for representing Stringfellow with excellence and for sharing the outstanding work happening in our classrooms.
Thank you to our entire faculty and staff whose collective efforts make this success possible. The success of our students is a direct reflection of your dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence.
One Hive. One Team. One Mission.

Today, we celebrated a remarkable woman whose love, wisdom, and servant heart have touched countless lives.
After 20 years of dedicated service to the Colquitt County School System, Mrs. Lucy Peterson is officially retiring. Throughout her career, she faithfully served students, families, and colleagues with compassion, commitment, and grace. Her impact extends far beyond her years of service, leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside her.
This special celebration was made even more meaningful as Mrs. Peterson was surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, friends, former coworkers, and loved ones. She was also joined by her Stringfellow Stinger Bee family, who gathered to honor and celebrate the difference she has made in our school community. The room was filled with laughter, memories, gratitude, and love as we reflected on the many lives she has touched throughout her career.
Mrs. Peterson, thank you for your dedication, your servant leadership, and the countless ways you have invested in children and families. Your kindness, encouragement, and commitment to others have left an imprint that will not be forgotten.
We wish you many years of happiness, good health, relaxation, and treasured moments with family and friends as you begin this well-deserved next chapter.
Congratulations on your retirement, Mrs. Peterson. Thank you for 20 years of faithful service and for being such an important part of our Stinger Bee family. ππ

ππ BACK-TO-BACK TITLE I SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE! ππ
What an incredible way to close out the school year together.
Today, during our final staff gathering before summer break, Stringfellow Elementary was proudly presented with the Title I School of Excellence Banner, recognizing our school as being in the Top 5% of schools in Georgia for Academic Achievement and Student Growth.
What makes this recognition even more special is that this marks the second consecutive year Stringfellow Elementary has earned this prestigious distinction. Sustaining excellence is often more difficult than achieving it the first time, and this honor reflects the consistency, dedication, and relentless commitment of our staff to ensuring high levels of learning for every student.
This recognition belongs to our entire school community. It is a testament to the hard work of our teachers, paraprofessionals, support staff, office staff, custodians, cafeteria team, district leaders, students, parents, and community partners. Every person has played a role in helping our students succeed.
As we celebrate this accomplishment, we remain grounded in our mission: To ensure that all students learn and excel at grade level or higher. While we are proud of this moment, we know our best work is still ahead of us.
Thank you to every member of the Stringfellow family for believing in our students and in one another. Together, we continue to prove what is possible when a team is united around a common purpose.
Two years. One standard: Excellence.
