Last night's Moss Point-Jackson County NAACP Branch meeting was both informative and inspiring! Our Branch President, Curley Clark provided important updates regarding the proposed redistricting efforts impacting Congressman Bennie Thompson's district and emphasized the importance of staying informed and engaged in the democratic process.βοΈπ³ He also encouraged all members to participate in Juneteenth festivities on June 20th, 2026 (See Flyer Below)
I shared updates on our efforts that are made in ensuring voters are accurately represented and informed, as well as information regarding the Shield Act.π³
Rev. Ann Pickett, Chair of Religious Affairs, reported on the 5th Sunday Fellowship held at Second Baptist Church, where several of our members proudly participated.βοΈ
Most importantly, we were excited to welcome new members to our branch who are ready to stand up for justice, equality, and community engagement. The work continues, and together we are stronger!π³βοΈππ½βΌοΈ

ATTENTION MOSS POINT VOTERS!
If you are a voter who is registered to vote at the Sue Ellen voting Precinct OR a voter who is registered to vote at the Young Men's Business Club (YMBC) voting precinct, voter information cards from the Circuit Clerk's Office are currently being mailed to each of you alerting you of a change in your precinct.
For those who normally vote at Sue Ellen, your temporary voting location is now Dr. Reuben P. Morris Fire station located at 5206 Martin Luther King Blvd.
For those who normally vote at the YMBC voting location your precinct has now changed to the St. Paul United Methodist Church located at 3424 Davis Street in Moss Point (on Belview and Magnolia Street)
IF you normally vote at either of these locations and have NOT received notice of these changes, you may need to contact the Circuit Clerk's office and verify or even change your mailing or physical address.
Any voter that normally votes at either of these locations and have moved need to update their information at the Circuit Clerk's office or come by our office at 4111 Amonett Street and let us get your information corrected so you won't have to vote by Affidavit ballot on election day.
Voting is a privilege that each of us should use and we don't want anyone to lose your vote by voting in the incorrect precinct.

What an incredible night! β¨β€οΈ
The NAACP Moss PointβJackson CountyπFreedom Fund Banquetπ was a tremendous success, and we are truly grateful for the overwhelming support from our community.
Under the powerful theme, βThe Fierce Urgency of Now,β...we were reminded that the time to act, serve, and uplift is not tomorrow...but TODAY.
As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. so powerfully stated:
βWe are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now.β βπΎπ₯

A heartfelt THANK YOU to:
