Last night's Moss Point-Jackson County NAACP Branch meeting was both informative and inspiring! Our Branch President, Curley Clark provided important updates regarding the proposed redistricting efforts impacting Congressman Bennie Thompson's district and emphasized the importance of staying informed and engaged in the democratic process.βš–οΈπŸ—³ He also encouraged all members to participate in Juneteenth festivities on June 20th, 2026 (See Flyer Below)

I shared updates on our efforts that are made in ensuring voters are accurately represented and informed, as well as information regarding the Shield Act.πŸ—³

Rev. Ann Pickett, Chair of Religious Affairs, reported on the 5th Sunday Fellowship held at Second Baptist Church, where several of our members proudly participated.✝️

Most importantly, we were excited to welcome new members to our branch who are ready to stand up for justice, equality, and community engagement. The work continues, and together we are stronger!πŸ—³βœοΈπŸ™πŸ½β€ΌοΈ

What an incredible night! ✨❀️

The NAACP Moss Point–Jackson CountyπŸ’™Freedom Fund BanquetπŸ’™ was a tremendous success, and we are truly grateful for the overwhelming support from our community.

Under the powerful theme, β€œThe Fierce Urgency of Now,”...we were reminded that the time to act, serve, and uplift is not tomorrow...but TODAY.

As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. so powerfully stated:
β€œWe are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now.” ✊🏾πŸ”₯

From the energy in the room to the impactful message delivered by our special guest, Ms. Lovey West, the evening was truly unforgettable.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to:
πŸ’™ Everyone who purchased tables and ads
πŸ’™ Our special guests and dignitaries
πŸ’™ All who came out to support the mission

Special appreciation to our leadership:
✨ Branch President Curley Clark
✨ Banquet Chairperson Rev. Ann PickettπŸ‘‘
✨ Co-Chair Marilynn MillerπŸ‘‘
✨ Our dedicated banquet committee for an outstanding job‼️

Special shoutout to:
πŸ“Έ Mr. Herman for capturing the moments
🎬 Dave Meisenberger for the professional editing
