At farmers market today!

Working at the market today. I finished the second frog in my frog stamp lineup. I was going to work on bookmarks but all the hooks I brought are too large for the yarn weight. Stamps it is!

I'm here til 1pm today 💚

Sometimes the workspace is a little chaotic.

Working on some new products. I found a material that carved easily and works with ink stamp pads, so I'm going to start selling hand-carved stamps soon.

I'll miss you all! I'll be back 6/22.

No tent today, but that's okay! It has a little issue I have to fix at home. So thankful for the overcast day.

With editing this is as close as I can get to the actual colors of the earrings. Or at least how I see them in different lighting situations.

For some reason my phone camera adds a blue cast to everything that I have to correct in post.

Morning light and a finished project.

Maybe I need to plan taking photos in the morning more often because I really enjoy this lighting.

Both sides done. Now it's time to clean up the edges and add backing to the non-embroidered side.

Working on a new style of earrings. The embroidery in the hoop will hang from the bottoms of the crocheted studs. So excited! Stay tuned for updates on the process 🪡🎨

Soft opening of The Drip by Hannah Fountain Art! It's so pretty in here. Check it out if you want to see good art and take some art classes.

Step 2 complete.

First, I took a picture of my sketch with my phone, copied half of the picture, and reflected it to make the symmetrical design easier to execute.

Then, I used Affinity photo to raise the contrast of the image so that a vector trace in Inkscape would allow me to keep the line drawing while removing the background and converting it to a solid color.

Finally, I erased and added lines by using the eraser tool and pen tool respectively. This was done mostly intuitively with the goal of creating more contrast between the different elements.

Still a work in progress for sure! I'm probably going to tweak the details a little bit more before moving to carving.
