Triple B Ranch Excavation Services
Let us help you with all of your excavation projects. Road, pond, and land clearing construction.
This pond was not constructed properly and was not holding much water. The pond had grown a thicket of trees and brush. We are cleaning out the pond, cutting the levee, and will collapse and fill the pond with dirt giving the land owner a nice 1 acre pasture.
On to the next one, moving dirt on Slayden Road.
Compacting the levee/dam core is essential.
Constructing a “key way” or some call a “core” is essential to building a large pond/lake.
This core ensures that water will not seep through the bottom of the levee/dam. The most important step is compacting the clay. If your contractor does not use a compactor then you should consider another contractor.
Call us if you want a pond/lake that adds value to your property.

Some advice when interviewing contractors for a pond/lake project.
The most important piece of equipment for this project is a vibratory compactor such as mine shown here.
During the interview ask the contractor: Do you own a vibratory compactor? If they make excuses on why you don’t need one, they’re not the professional to take on a pond/lake project.
Why?
The compactor does what the name implies, it compacts the structural part of the pond/lake dam ie levee.
Nothing else can properly compact the dam/levee core, not a dozer, dirt pan, or excavator.
Making progress on this unique property. I’ll have this one for sale soon.
