Body rEvolution
Let's start a Revolution.... Body rEvolution is a program sponsored by the University of Idaho Women's Center and the Counseling & Testing Center.
Student interns present a dynamic and thought provoking presentation on body image and eating disorders while generating thoughtful discussions and raising awareness across the UI campus. We focus on the evolution of what is considered attractive and seek to start an evolution revolution to redefine what is beautiful. We highlight Love Your Body Day as well as National Eating Disorders Awareness Week. For more information on presentations or how to get involved, check out our website!

Here's a great activism project to share!
Dear VS,
Your company mails out 400+ million of these catalogs to homes each year, and we cannot escape your commercials or your storefront windows. Your models are Photoshopped as an industry standard, and when we see them strutting the catwalk THEY even tell us they are on liquid diets for weeks before the shows. You claim to empower women, even as you sell us SO SHORT of our potential. I'll be slapping these truthful sticky notes on your lies as often as I can. http://www.beautyredefined.net/victorias-little-secret/

TODAY from 11-1 in the Idaho Commons! Participate in our Projection + Photography = rEvolution event for National Eating Disorders Awareness Week. Developed by Aleah Starr, an eating disorders survivor: “I am a CANVAS. Every day society projects certain standards, messages, and images UPON ME. Society tells me how I should look, act, and feel. So when you ask me WHO I AM, I don’t always know what to tell you. But I am learning to step away from these projections, and use them to make a statement of MY OWN.”
Come to "Got S*x?" next Thursday in the Women's Center at 5:30! BrE Intern meeting to follow the presentation. See you Thursday!
Attention BrE Interns! There will be a meeting tomorrow evening at 6! Check your e-mails for more information!
