Can I get a heck yea!!
{ garden season }
Four hours of delightfully, laborious weeding and planting.
Keys in the process:
- Discover what you want to grow, can grow, when
you can grow, and what you will actually eat.
- Research what grows best together.
- Take several stretch breaks. 🧘🏽♀️
- Enjoy all the pup pets and ball kicks. 🐩
- Apply sunscreen more than once
(especially this year). ☀️ 🔥 🥵
- Human hydration. 💧
- Plan your garden.
- Grab what you need:
* healthy dirt
* shovel/trowel/garden rake
* seeds and starters
* gloves
* depository for weeds
* scissors/clippers
* water source
- W**d : often this is the longest, but
definitely the most important part of
the process! For me, at times it can be quite
cathartic, other times, it’s completely annoying
and mind-numbing.
- Add new soil and/or mix old with something
new:
* Organic and/or full manure is my
favorite, however, it’s also a favorite of
pests (morning glory nightmare & yet,
tomato favorite! Pick your poison).
- Mix it with a rake, making sure you pick
out all the crud ( weeds, roots, bug
infestation, grass, poo which doesn’t
belong… most likely from a cat).
- Plan your garden again.
- Plant per instructions (distance is key).
- Water immediately.
- Continue to water per desired crop.
- W**d as needed.
- Trim as needed.
- Enjoy the fruits of you labor!!!

Food jag : when a child will only eat one food item, or a very small group of food items, meal after meal.. but adults might have them, too! And this is mine: greens, rice (coconut), fried egg, and kimchi (right now, I’m really loving Korean kimchi from )
