These days, it’s tough to turn a profit on the farm with the way commodity prices are. When you start looking at cost per bushel instead of cost per acre, you’ll start to uncover opportunities you might’ve missed. It helps you put your input dollars where they matter most—and where they’ll work the hardest.
Join us - please RSVP at (309) 264-5058.

We are out here inspecting what we are expecting with this corn crop checking for disease, pests, yield limiters, what we did right, where we can do better and our potential yield. This is May corn pulled from a dryland field. Both ears are from this particular corn plant, it is showing a little bit of gray leaf spot starting further investigation of the field is needed. We do however see some burn on the leaves due to high temps during application timing of foliar. More than likely the leaf burn is cosmetic. Over all it looks good.

Dealing with tar spot? Stay ahead of it with these tips:
✅ Scout between V12-R2 growth stages, especially in continuous corn and irrigated fields
✅ If symptoms show on the ear leaf or just below, apply a fungicide labeled for tar spot
✅ Tank-mix with balanced nutrition found in our foliar program
✅ Always run a jar test before mixing products
Remember, healthy soil + balanced nutrition = stronger disease defense. The Maximum Farming System reduces crop stress and minimizes yield losses. 🌽
