Float and our sister company, The Iona Group, are compassionate companies that strive to serve others. One thing we love to do at this time of year is to help a local family or two have a brighter holiday season by "adopting" them and fulfilling their shopping lists – picking up needs and wants alike. Although we will never meet them, we wish them a Merry Christmas all the same. Here is our team after our lunch wrapping party, tummies full of pizza and hearts full of joy.

From our families to yours, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Holidays.

Float and The Iona Group recognized four employees celebrating milestones this year: Eric (5 years) and Tom, Chad and BJ (15 years each).

Each employee was honored for their achievements and received cards and gifts. Congratulations!

During the month of August, the central Illinois community came together to support WaterStep’s mission by collecting and/or donating an incredible 23,000 pairs of shoes.

One important part of Waterstep's mission is to provide safe water. WaterStep has been in Puerto Rico for a week training response workers and distributing water systems. Read about their efforts at https://www.facebook.com/WaterStep/posts/1690945827617558

With your help, safe water starts with shoes. Almost everyone has shoes that they have outgrown or no longer want or need. There is no reason to throw them away when YOUR USED SHOES CAN HAVE A NEW LIFE WITH SOMEONE WHO REALLY NEEDS THEM!

Help us save lives by donating your used shoes to benefit WaterStep. Waterstep is a nonprofit organization that provides safe water, sanitation and health education to communities in developing countries. Shoes will be collected for just a few more days - check out www.ionagroup.com/shoes for the nearest Central Illinois participating drop off location. It really is that simple.

This collection effort couldn’t happen without the support of so many caring individuals. From donating shoes, telling people about WaterStep, transporting the shoes, responding to phone calls, collecting shoes from locations outside our geographic area, bagging shoes, and loading as well as stacking bags. These photos are representative of a tremendous team effort - our hats off to each of you!

Again this year, we are absolutely overwhelmed with the generosity of this community! We have 10 days to go and there is still room left for more shoes in the semi-trailer. Keep up the great work Central Illinois and let’s finish strong!

Drop off locations for ANY and ALL dry shoes to benefit Waterstep can be found at www.ionagroup.com/shoes.

A big shout out to Limestone Community High School’s Key Club who hosted a “Pack the Rocket Bus With Shoes” in Bartonville on Saturday. The local community supported the event by driving through and dropping off their unwanted shoes. Float and The Iona Group applaud Key Club’s involvement with Shoes for Water since 2012!

Remember that ANY and ALL dry shoes can be donated throughout the month of August to benefit Waterstep. Check out the link below for a drop-off location near you!

The company’s latest venture is this really cool folk band that only performs in semi-trailers! Seriously, though, the trailer has arrived and there is plenty of room for donated shoes. These co-workers (BJ, Matt and Mark) were part of the crew that moved early shoe donations from the office to the trailer.

We take ANY and ALL dry shoes to benefit WaterStep (Waterstep), a non-profit organization that provides safe water, sanitation and health education to communities in developing countries. Visit the link below and donate your unwanted shoes at a drop-off location near you!

Donate Shoes To Help Provide Safe Drinking Water ‹ The Iona Group 08/01/2017

The Iona Group and Float are proud co-sponsors of the Shoes for Water drive with St. Ann's W.A.T.C.H. program. Now is the time to search your closets, and ask your friends and family to donate any of their used shoes during the month of August. This is a cause that anyone can be a part of.

Shoes are used to fund the efforts of Waterstep (waterstep.org), an organization that provides drinking water to poor countries. All types of dry shoes are accepted. Since 2012, we have gotten nearly 100,000 donations thanks to the central Illinois community and its goodwill.
