To See Behind Walls (2022) Music for the Stage and Field

The premiere of “To See Behind Walls” tonight with the Windermere Preparatory School Wind Ensemble was fantastic. The students were responsive and engaged in rehearsal earlier and it translated into a great performance tonight.

I have to say thank you to Jason King for starting the conversation on this project back in late 2020. I was a little pessimistic considering the state of things but we pushed forward nevertheless.

Thank you to director Josh Nelson for working so hard with the group in preparation for the concert and receiving my feedback so positively. Thank you for making the premiere such a positive experience for everyone!

Lastly, thank you to the Fine Arts Boosters at Windermere Preparatory School for supporting this project and helping to make it happen. Over the last few years a lot of projects like this were forced to the wayside and haven’t happened. It means a lot that this one did!

I will share more about “To See Behind Walls” soon now that the premiere is compete. I’m excited for others to hear and perform the piece in the future!
