There is much to be said for the value of leading others to find peace in God, but we must also take the time to do it ourselves! When is the last time you stopped to sit with God, to rest in Him? In order to stay healthy as a leader, it is important to stop and refill our souls just as we do with our bodies.

As leaders, we pour ourselves out all day, whether we are at work or at home. As our ministries grow, it becomes even more important to take a day of rest, but without taking that time to rest in the Lord it does not take long to burn out. When was the last time you took a day of rest?
