Buford T. Justice is gonna have his hands full with this Bandit! Nick Weigand and his family came from southern Maryland to participate at Sick Summer. This beautiful 1977 Pontiac Trans Am has some incredible details in keeping with the Bandit theme and packs a punch to back it up! The car was finished back in 2021 and was built to participate in drag and drive events and also makes appearances at various Pontiac racing events. The “Boosted Bandit” is powered by a 542ci Pontiac engine and fed some psi by twin 76/78 turbos. A 4L80 transmission sends the power to a Strange 9” equipped with a Strange thirdmember, axles and driveshaft. For brakes Nick chose to go with our newest Strange Evolution 4 stainless steel brakes and is very happy with their performance and stopping power. The Wiegand family uses Strange components for all of their vehicles and we thank you for choosing to !

Sick Summer really brings out some crazy builds! Jason Pollard from Arlington,TX brought his 1995 GMC Safari to cruise the midwest during Sick Summer. You can spot the “Vanimal” pulling the front wheels leaving the starting line thanks to a 408ci LS engine topped off with a LSA blower. A 4L80 transmission takes the power and sends it to the back via a Strange Chromoly driveshaft. Out back a Dana 60 takes the abuse and features a set of 35 spline Strange ProRace axles and a Strange spool. Jason plans to upgrade the rearend to a Strange Ford 9” in the future 😎 Keep an eye out for this sleeper van. Thank you Jason for choosing to .

This sweet truck caught our eye walking the pits at Sick Summer 2026. Paul McCullough from Virginia Beach, VA brought his 03’ Dodge Dakota R/T to row gears across the midwest. The Mopar truck is powered by a 5.7 Gen III Hemi with a 80mm turbo providing some boost. A Holley terminator ECU, T56 manual transmission and McLeod twin disc clutch are also on board. For brakes Paul chose to go with our Strange Evolution 4 stainless steel brake kit which he loves and plans to upgrade the rearend and rear brakes to Strange products also. Gerrard and Suzanne Chazabelle came all the way from the Three Rivers, Canada with their beautiful 1963 Split Window Corvette Top Sportman car.
Gerrard being a pipe fitter and Suzanne being a welder, they built this entire car and their trailer themselves. What an accomplishment from this husband and wife team.
Gerrard pilots the Split Window and has been for the last 15 years, and a total of 35 years racing.
The Vette runs a 782 cubic inch engine with a Powerglide transmission.
Gerrard and Suzanne chose everything Strange from the Strange floater kit with 40 spline gun drilled axles, and Strange Ultra center section keeping it all tied together back there. A Strange driveshaft tra sfers all that power to the back. While Strange struts and shocks makes sure the car launches correctly. And then of course stopping power comes from Strange brakes all around.
