Davis Homes Library
Davis Homes Library was a branch of Morristown-Hamblen Library. It was a public library located at 1149 Kennedy Circle.
Davis Homes Library was a small public library that was located in the C. Frank Davis Homes Extension of Morristown Housing Authority. Unfortunately, the library was unexpectedly closed on April 15, 2014, so that a new computer lab for Morristown Housing Authority residents only could be established in its place.

Ok. The library is still closed, but we lost a brother back in December and I wanted to let anyone who didn't know know. Danny was one of us, he was usually found driving one of his awesome gigantic cars into the parking lot or surfing the internet. He loved watching Ice Road Truckers and wearing Nike sandals. He was a friend and a faithful library patron. He will be forever missed.

The M**h-Free Tennessee after-school program at Davis Homes Library decorated jeans with anti-meth messages and then had a fashion show at College Square Mall in 2007, together with library patrons and volunteers from MHA and Lafollette Housing Authority-where youth had also decorated anti-M**h jeans. This was a Service Learning peer-to-peer communication designed to help keep Tennessee's youth away from methamphetamine. TCAC partnered with the after-school program. Roseanna G. was the Morristown youth coordinator of the project and Brandy was the Lafollette youth coordinator. Teresa Lane and Tammy Carmack-Hatmaker co-created this project.

M**h Madness is a giant board game developed by the M**h-Free TN after school program at Davis Homes Library in 2008. MHA and TCAC were partners in this service learning project. This giant board game was created by youth December Anderson, Wesley Manis, "Kenneth" Shaun Buckner and VISTA/ DH library director Teresa Lane. M**h Madness is played by walking on game squares while carrying oversized tokens. It was played spring break 2008 at the library. It was produced with a grant from Learn and Serve/Volunteer Tennessee. It took over nine months and over one hundred adult and child volunteers to make this game happen. The game was created as a peer communication product to help keep children free of methamphetamine. December Rose Sullivan

Davis Homes Library was permanently closed on April 15, 2014. We've had so much library fun for over 12 years together. I will never forget the good times we've had. I've attended your weddings, funerals, & been at the hospital while you had your babies; I've been at your high school graduations, and birthday celebrations! I wouldn't have missed it for the world. We're read so many books together, and learned so much. I love you guys, think of me when you read a good book. Teresa "Terry" Lane
