Attention drivers:

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is making the transition to electronic medical certification a little easier.

✅ From April 11 to October 11, 2026, you can continue using your paper Medical Examiner’s Certificate as proof of certification for up to 60 days after it’s issued.

This gives you extra time while systems move to secure electronic records under NRII.

💡 Tip: Keep your paper certificate with you, even as your examiner submits your results electronically.

🚨FMCSA Removes one ELD from Registered List 🚨

Today, FMCSA removed one Electronic Logging Device (ELD) from its list of approved devices for use in commercial motor vehicles.

“Devices that don’t meet federal standards will be removed from FMCSA’s registered list. Since January 2025, we’ve already taken off more than 56 devices, and we’ll keep going to protect the integrity of the ELD program and to keep America’s roads safe,” said FMCSA Administrator Derek D. Barrs.

Drivers using the revoked ELD must switch to paper logs immediately.
Motor carriers have 60 days to replace the device.
