We are saddened to share the passing of Docia Hancock, devoted Habitat supporter and mother of our local co-founder Randy Hancock. Docia is survived by her husband Del. They are pictured here at a groundbreaking for a home in Morris- an occasion they rarely missed. May Docia's memory bring comfort to those who knew her. 🙏

The Will County Beer & Bourbon Fest will impact veterans in both Will and Grundy Counties, as our organizations now work together for greater impact. Consider supporting this cause supporting our community's most deserving citizens.

Beer & Bourbon Fest a fundraiser for Will County Habitat for Humanity The Beer & Bourbon Fest will feature 18 beer samplings and three bourbon samplings, live music on two stages, food outdoor games and vendors. All proceeds benefit Will County Habitat for Humanity's veterans programs.

Another partner family has paid off their affordable mortgage! Congratulations to this Morris family who moved into their home in 2004 and made no-interest monthly payments until May of this year. They built equity while helping fund other Habitat homes through their payments. Now they own this asset debt-free. Thank you to the support of Habitat donors and volunteers who made it possible. Home ownership is a game-changer! 🥳 🏠 👏

Our partners at Will County Habitat for Humanity are hosting the second "Get it Back Breakfast". This breakfast is an opportunity to learn how you can significantly impact local families through home ownership and preservation utilizing the Affordable Housing Tax Credit program. The program allows you to make a donation and receive 50% back in the form of an Illinois Tax Credit. Donations can support both Will and Grundy families.

We are starting the next FREE 5 week ACE's Parenting Program on June 7th from 5pm-7pm.

The term “ACEs” is an acronym for Adverse Childhood Experiences. There is a powerful, persistent correlation between the more ACEs experienced and the greater the chance of poor outcomes later in life.

The ACE’s Parenting Program provides parents with education about the effects of toxic stress, how to be trauma informed and build resiliency, how emotional intelligence, mindfulness and your own personal love language can help you better understand yourself, your child and your relationship, self-regulation and coping strategies, practical solutions to parenting issues, brain science and how it is related to trauma, how adverse experiences may be affecting your child’s life, health and behavior and what to do about it.
