This is why it’s fun visiting local parks. I photographed this blue beauty skimming the lake surface at Valdese Lakeside Park one morning late last year.

This Blue Jay stopped by for a quick drink before taking off to sample the seeds in the garden.

They should be arriving again soon.
This female ruby-throated hummingbird was approaching the feeder when I got a picture of her last fall.
