What can I be called as a new Grandma? Share your ideas!
We have a new addition to the Watson family, the Mountain Aid Project, and the community! Let’s welcome new baby Watson due at the end of this month on June 28th! 🩷
Sis, a previous member of Mountain Aid project, is also having a baby this Thursday! 💙 We could not be more excited to welcome new little lives into our hearts 💕
With this exciting announcement, I am sharing that I will be taking two weeks off to be with family once my granddaughter gets here! Don't worry, the team and Sheila Watson Christenbury have The Tilted Map handled, folks at Burke Long-Term Recovery Group , and peeps won't even know I'm gone ☺️
Much Love,
Kristin Watson

To our Tilted Map supporters,
Your patronage goes beyond the coffee you purchase or the sweets you delight in. You are a part of a larger movement of resilience, recovery, and connection.
Take a moment to acknowledge the unexpected trauma response that many experience when rain hits our area. Our founder, Kristin McKinnon Watson shares more about this, link below.

There’s something powerful about women coming together in a safe space to heal, connect, and grow.
On June 24th, The Tilted Map will be hosting Healing the Mother Wound: Sacred Sisterhood Circle — a guided experience focused on healing, restoration, breathwork, movement, and connection.
This circle will include:
• Womb Breathwork
• Heart Coherence Circle
• Healing Maternal Line Trauma Work
• Movement & Integration Practices
• Symbolic Offering to the Great Mother
We are honored to host this beautiful event, and a portion of the proceeds will go directly toward supporting the work of Mountain Aid Project and the communities we serve through disaster relief, rebuilding efforts, mental health support, and long-term recovery across WNC.
Every seat purchased helps support healing in more ways than one.
Hosted at The Tilted Map

This week our executive director, Kim Watson-Pitts met up with the executive director Kristin McKinnon Watson of Mountain Aid Project to attend the American Red Cross Hurricane Helene Recovery Workshop held in Boone NC.
Representatives were there from the Renew NC program to give us information about how it is progressing and took feedback from those of us there about what is not working in real life.
We were also able to connect with so many others across the region from non-profits, to LTRGs, and N.C. VOAD groups. These sessions are mostly helpful so that we can learn from each other about connecting people to available resources.
Alarmingly enough there is not a standard centralized system for us to work from, so these workshops help us to navigate the “who is doing what”.
THANK YOU to the American Red Cross for making this event happen!

Today, Tuesday May 19th, we have the honor of hosting Faith360 Network for a Community Celebration at The Tilted Map ❤️🙏
It's important to celebrate the collaboration of our community and how far we've come together in Helene recovery 💪
There are things we can see - the debris cleanup, the repairing and rebuilding...and there are things we can't see. The rising up, the never ending phone calls/emails to connect survivors with necessary resources, the sleepless nights and encouraging words exchanged. The trauma responses to helicopters or April shower. And yet, we push through - together, we rise!
The Tilted MAP offers a community space, ever growing network of resources and support, and ways to get involved. We always have a Crisis Counselor onsite and are grateful for our partners. There is no wrong way to feel after a disaster.
Come chat over coffee, a baked good made in house with love, and remember there are many loving hearts out here, for you!
