Volume 6 | In the Dust of the Rabbi 04/17/2018

Join us tomorrow at 6:30 as we begin a new series called, "In the Dust of the Rabbi". Remember those photos in the News Herald of the nicely stocked Glen Alpine food pantry? That was less than a month ago, and this is what the shelves look like at the close of business this afternoon. The food pantry is in urgent need of many, many items. As you can see, there are several cans of corn and several cans of green beans available. Things that are most in need: boxed macaroni and cheese, canned meats such as tuna, chicken, Vienna sausages, spam, weenies and beans. Any and all vegetables in cans, any and all fruits in cans, boxed breakfast cereals, oatmeal and grits, peanut butter, jelly, soups. A note about item sizes: remember, although a larger size can or jar may be more economical, several smaller quantities will serve more household. For instance, a five-lb. bag of flour can be given to only one household. Five 1-pound bags of flour can serve five households.

When I Don’t Feel Love for My Spouse Couples should focus on the godly act of behaving in love rather than the fleeting feeling of being in love.
