✨ From the Archives: A Window into Our Past ✨

Born in Otter Tail County in the 1880s, photographer Haakon Bjornaas captured life across northwestern Minnesota and eastern North Dakota during a time of incredible change. Traveling throughout the region from 1906 to 1920, Bjornaas documented everyday moments and evolving communities through his lens.

While much of his work focused on family portraits and postcards, his photographs now offer us a remarkable glimpse into this transitional era of local history.
