Emily Driscoll and Alexa Eugenio recreate the American Gothic painting left behind at Third Drop Coffee downtown on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023. The two business partners took over ownership of the location and will be turning it into the Moonrise Cafe.

After 29 years of coffee, we are so excited to introduce you to the new owners of our Moorhead and downtown Fargo stores.

Shawn, owner of Babb's Coffee for the past 3 years, is the new owner of Third Drop Coffee in Moorhead. Shawn is excited for the expansion to a new location with the same team, great coffee, personable service and keeping the Third Drop Coffee name while adding new items from Babb's Coffee. Shawn is very active in the community- so stop in and meet him soon!

The downtown Third Drop Coffee store is also taking on new owners and a new name. Alexa and Emily are making some updates and will reopen soon as Moonrise Cafe — you may know Emily from Heart Cakes. They have so many creative ideas and we are so excited to welcome them to downtown.

We can’t thank you all enough for the decades of support, friendship, and kindness — from our thousands of loyal customers to our hundred employees throughout the years. We are fortunate to have been a part of all of your lives and look forward to the many years ahead watching Shawn, Emily and Alexa be welcomed into all of your lives the way you have with us.

Meet Lily, our Barista of the week! Lily has worked at Third Drop since last October. She was born and raised in Moorhead, and is now studying English Education and Women and Gender Studies at Concordia College! When she is not making coffee, she’s crocheting, reading, or enjoying time in the sunshine with her two pups, Ollie and Penny.
Her favorite drink is an iced almond honey latte💛

Meet Ryan, our barista of the week!
Ryan has worked at Third Drop since last October. They have lived in Moorhead for 2 years now. When they are not making coffee, they are in the studio making art or hanging out with their dog, Lola and their three cats. Their favorite drink is Iced Latte with vanilla, hazelnut, and oatmilk. Stop by today and have them make you one! ✨

Meet Nate, our barista of the week!
Nate’s been with us since last fall. He’s originally from Santa Clarita, CA. Nate’s currently majoring in chemistry at NDSU. When he’s not brewing up beautiful drinks here at Third Drop, he enjoys being outside soaking up the sun! He also loves hanging out with his cat, Romeo.
Nate really enjoys making coffee for all of you. 💕
