Hey folks!
Looking forward to partnering with Healistry for my first collaboration under the name "Curiosity Miscellanea"!
This is a new vinyl listening series where we can get together with our favorite vinyls and share stories about how our favorite songs and albums have impacted us.
There's something about holding an album in your hand, looking over the album art and liner notes, carefully slipping the album out of its sleeve...carefully placing the needle down. It's a tangible experience that is worth preserving.
This series will feature singer/songwriters discussing an album that has impacted them and the how they go about songwriting.
For this first event in the series, I'll be singing and playing a couple of originals and sharing stories about the album that became the first in my collection. I handle it especially carefully because my 5-year-old fingerprints are still on it.
After that everyone will have the opportunity to share and enjoy each other's music and stories in a laid back environment. There will also be refreshments.

What if we listened to music the way we used to?
For the Record is an evening dedicated to slowing down, sharing stories, and reconnecting through the music that has shaped our lives. Whether youβre a vinyl collector, a music lover, or simply looking for meaningful connection, join us as we gather around albums, memories, and conversation.
Bring a record. Share a story. Make a connection.

Progress on my first self portrait. Still blocking in the clunkier details. Working on it as I can...

Started on something today I've never done before...a self portrait. Working on it as I can so hopefully it doesn't take forever!

The link from yesterday's interview is up!
If you read my post yesterday, you'll know that I had to run to my car to get my sustain pedal that I forgot and rush to make it back in time to perform. They mic'd my amp for the audio. Listening back today it sounds like the mic had a noise gate on it. So it ended up sounding a lot like it would have without the sustain pedal.
Life is pretty hilarious if you don't take it too seriously π
Anyways, check it out! Buy a ticket if you want to do weird, experimental art stuff with me and my musician friends. You don't even have to be artistic!

I had a great time yet again on Your Carolina !
Thank you so much Jamarcus Gaston and Megan Heidlberg for having me on the show!
If I seemed out breathe, it wasn't nerves. I realized right before going on that I forgot my sustain pedal. I had to run about half a block to get back in time. Thankfully they were very helpful and accommodating, giving me just a little bit more time to set up and catch my breath. I hope I gave the right dates and times for everything!
No matter how much planning goes into things, there's always some unexpected challenge to give the experience a little more pizzazz lol I'm not kidding when I say I'm never bored π³
And because of that, I guarantee if you get tickets for the interactive art event you also won't be bored!
If you didn't catch the show, I'll post a link to it later. Link below for tickets! Get 'em while you can!
But also, other than the ticketing event there's an interactive exhibit! Come out during ArtWalk on the 16th and view my original paintings while listening to songs I wrote for the paintings using my chromasona codex method.

If you don't consider yourself artistic, no worries! No art experience necessary!
Everything provided. My musician friends and I will literally be interpreting the colors on your canvas as music. You can paint a landscape, shapes, something more realistic or abstract. You can even paint your canvas a solid color and still affect the outcome of the song.

But don't forget the free drop-in reception on Art Walk April 16th. The exhibit itself is different from the interactive event. I have seven original paintings coupled with seven original songs to go with each painting, including a QR code so you can listen and view at the same time.

Except for a few small things...the mural is finished!
Still have to antique the other walls and figure out for sure what we're doing with the blinds/curtains.

More progress on the mural in our new studio. I hope to finish it tomorrow and get mostly moved in this weekend!
I'm painting faux tile under the windows. I still have more detail to do on the landscape. The radiator is meant to look wood grain. I have a good base on that but have some more detail to add on that as well. Still thinking on some surrealist elements. Not sure what or where to put those yet π€
