This past weekend our department was invited to the Fire-Rescue Conference to accept the Fire Safe SC award. The is our 6th year in a row to earn this certification! These guys work hard all year to cultivate partnerships with local businesses, advance public education, and enhance our in-house knowledge of community risk reduction. Huge shout out to all the full-time, part-time, and volunteer members who help to make this possible year after year!

Please join us as we remember and honor Lee Steele and Monty Harmon on the 30th anniversary of their Line of Duty Deaths. The Poplar Springs Fire Department will be hosting a drop-in gathering for anyone who would like to stop by, share memories, and pay their respects. There will be no formal memorial service, just an opportunity for fellowship and remembrance among family, friends, fellow firefighters, and members of the community.

Last Thursday, , the employee-run charity committee at our plant site in Duncan, S.C., presented a check for $4,250.00 to Poplar Springs Fire Department.

This contribution reflects our continued commitment to supporting the local first responders who serve and protect our community each day. The men and women of Poplar Springs Fire Department exemplify dedication, courage and selflessness. We are proud to support their important work.
