FEAST Senior Meals Program
The FEAST nutrition program for older adults provides healthful and delicious meals to the community. We serve approximately 18,000 meals each year.
Join us for a FEAST Together community meal, take your meal to go, or enjoy a meal delivered to your home. Do you have an older adult in your life who needs more access to delicious, healthy food? Is there someone in your life who is struggling to eat more nutritionally? Let us know because we can help! Have them call us at the FEAST office to be connected to our robust (and yummy!) meals on wheel

Montpelier's FEAST Senior Meals Program Rebrands as Montpelier Meals On Wheels
MONTPELIER, VT—The City of Montpelier's senior meals program has a new name. Program manager Kim Myers announced at Wednesday's City Council meeting that FEAST Senior Meals will be rebranded as Montpelier Meals On Wheels.
The program provides a community lunch every Tuesday and delivers daily meals through the Meals on Wheels program to approximately 50 Montpelier residents and 11 Berlin residents. In 2025, the program served 17,026 meals in total, including those distributed at the Tuesday Community Meal.
The rebrand also comes at a moment of renewed culinary energy for the program. Chef Joey Buttendorf, a former instructor and alumna of the New England Culinary Institute (NECI), has brought fresh commitment to delicious, locally sourced cooking since joining the program earlier this year. Her contributions have elevated the quality of meals and deepened the program's connection to Vermont's local food community.
“I’m excited to have a name that clearly reflects our core mission,” said Myers. “I’m proud to be part of work that continues to grow and reach further into the community.”
“We really appreciate the effort you go to, making meals that are varied and tasty,” reflected one meal recipient. “You make an enormous difference to our health and well-being.”
About Montpelier Meals On Wheels
Montpelier Meals On Wheels (formerly FEAST Senior Meals), made possible by the Montpelier Senior Activity Center, provides nutritious, locally sourced meals to older adults and people with disabilities across four towns. Through home-delivered and community meals—and an intergenerational kitchen where high school students and senior volunteers cook side by side—Montpelier Meals On Wheels fosters connection, dignity, and independence.
Vision
We are working toward a future where all older Vermonters and individuals with disabilities have consistent access to nourishing meals, strong social connection, and the supports they need to live safely and independently at home. We envision a community-centered program rooted in local food, shared labor, and intergenerational care.
