Today marked our last day before summer break at the Odyssey Day Program, and we made the most of every moment! ☀️

We started the day exploring a health fair where the STAARs visited vendors, learned about community resources, asked questions, and picked up a few goodies along the way. Then we headed to visit our friends at the Children’s Center where the fun really began! We spent time outside listening to and making music, dancing, playing games, and blowing bubbles while enjoying laughter, friendship, and community together.

Moments like these remind us that learning happens everywhere — through experiences, relationships, movement, communication, and joy. We are so proud of how much our STAARs have grown this year and can’t wait to see what the summer brings!

Today our parents surprised the 3 teachers of the Odyssey Day Program with thoughtful cards and gifts, and it truly meant more than words can express. ❤️

To know that families see the love, patience, and dedication we pour into our STAARs each day is a blessing. We don’t do this work for recognition, but moments like this remind us that the long days, hard work, and heart we put into our program are making a difference. Thank you for seeing us, appreciating us, and trusting us with your amazing young adults.

We truly love what we do and who we do it for. ✨

The STAARs went to lunch at Applebee's to activate all of their knowledge from deciding what to order, to checking for costs, calculating the amount, determining if that was within their budget, placing their order clear and audibly, to paying and including a tip. Great work!!
