STAR Toy Library

While we undergo renovations at our Monterey location, Special Kids Connect's STAR Toy Library will be closed for checking out toys between April 20 and June 17. We will be accepting toy returns through May 6.

Young Benjamin had fun practicing his lawn mowing skills in our library last week. Oh...and our carpet height is now perfect! ❤

If you have a child who wants to practice skills through play, stop by our toy lending library at 1900 Garden Road in Monterey. We are open from 9 am to 4 pm M-F. Library memberships are free for Monterey County families.

Special Kids Connect is offering a Caregiver Readiness Workshop for individuals who care for children with special needs. It includes a complete CPR/First Aid 2-year certification. The cost is $25. (Lunch is included, too!) If you have a babysitter or respite caregiver you would like to see trained, this is a great opportunity. Space is extremely limited. It will be in-person training and everyone will be kept at safe distances apart. You can register online at

Respite Caregiver Readiness Training (Includes CPR/First Aid Certification) The Respite Caregiver Readiness Workshop is a day-long in-person CPR / First Aid certification training with a behavior education component.
