The Monterey Tequila Festival Returns October 18, 2025 – Celebrating 17 Years as Northern California’s Premier Tequila Experience

Monterey, CA — The Monterey Tequila Festival, Northern California’s largest celebration of tequila and mezcal, returns for its 17th year on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the stunning Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa. This highly anticipated annual event continues to grow in size, prestige, and excitement, drawing tequila enthusiasts, industry professionals, and food lovers from across California and beyond.

If you’re passionate about tequila—learning about its origins, meeting brand founders, and sampling the finest spirits from Mexico and beyond—this is the place to be. The Monterey Tequila Festival is a once-a-year experience that blends culture, craftsmanship, and community, all while supporting two vital local charities: Rancho Cielo and HYS Incorporated, both dedicated to empowering and educating youth in the Central Coast region.

A Full Day of Tequila, Taste, and Entertainment
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Monterey’s famed Hyatt Regency, the festival brings together over 34 top tequila and mezcal brands from Mexico, the U.S., and Canada, along with premier local restaurants and artisan vendors. Every ticket is a VIP ticket, offering guests an elevated, all-inclusive experience:

• 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Educational tasting sessions and expert presentations, Tastings open
• 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Tequila and mezcal tastings, gourmet bites, and vendor showcases
• 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM: Exclusive After Party featuring Anthony Lane & The Chicano All Stars Band

The Monterey Tequila Festival is widely recognized as one of the top tequila festivals in the United States, known for its authentic experience and unmatched atmosphere. Each year, it draws large numbers of guests and industry professionals to the Central Coast.

An Industry Gathering and Global Celebration
In addition to the public event, the festival hosts a private Friday night industry mixer—a by-invitation gathering uniting tequila and mezcal producers, distributors, and hospitality leaders from across North America. This pre-festival event fosters collaboration and celebrates the craftsmanship behind agave spirits.
