Rhode Island 6th Graders' project turns old cooking grease into Bioheat for charities.
Archives That abbreviation, however, has a more substantive connotation in Westerly, R.I. There, motivated middle school students intent on recycling, shrinking their carbon footprint and assisting their neighbors have launched what they tout as Project T.G.I.F.: Turning Grease Into Fuel.

ClogBusters Summer Tip: Summer BBQs are great for drains as long as meat drippings, steak fat, and butter from the corn on the cob are not washed down the drain. Instead, wipe grease off plates into the trash. Your pipes will thank you for it!
