“Not Ready To Die” drops at midnight. This is a pretty dark track I wrote about fake love at a funeral, living life with no regrets, and never giving up. If any of my friends have ever been near death or seen people hating and suddenly acting like they were best friends with someone after they die, this one might hit home. It’s not a reggae song. It’s 100% SoCal Dark Flamenco, Classical Guitar, Creeping Death Style Hip-Hop with a little Reggae-Rock influence. It reminds me of Cypress Hill or Orishas. I don’t know how to describe it, but it’s pure and I hope it strikes a core with someone. Efrem from Manic Hispanic and Death By Stereo went full Chicano Rap on his verse as well. I love it.
