Happy International Women’s Day!

We are a SWENEXT team and so excited to celebrate the wonderful people in our team and community. As a SWENEXT club, we have an opportunity to recognize many girls on our team and connect with a larger network of women that can inspire our students.

In the fall we went to the Cal Poly SWENext chapter to talk about next steps and two of our students were also featured on a SWE podcast with CEO Karen Horting! Many of our students are also recognized by NCWIT in the San Francisco affiliate region.

All of these organizations are focused on supporting women and allow students to flourish.

Final day of competition! We can’t believe our first competition is finished.

Awesome job to our drive team, they are very excited for MBR. Our whole drive team also got Gracious Professionaism pins! Our Robot Captain Eleanor also got recognized as a member of the pilot FIRST Fellowship program.

Shout-out to our awesome programmer, who is also our very cool mascot, for figuring out swerve drive for us and thank you to all the teams who helped us improve on our robot.

Our team is thrilled and very proud to have gotten the Sustainability Award. Thank you to everyone who made our success, and this event possible.

First day of competition done! We are so excited for tomorrow. Today had a lot of ups and downs, but we are hopeful to play in the playoffs tomorrow, and are excited for our last 4 qualifiers.

Our logistics leadership presented our impact award presentation today and are excited to see the results tomorrow.

Good luck to all teams at SVR as well as any other competition.

We’re coming up to our first regional, so this weekend was jam-packed for us. Thank you to for hosting a scrimmage for our local central coast teams. We had an awesome time!

On Sunday, we were visited by our good friends whom we helped with their robot and programming.

Our robot reveal video was also featured on Premier Night!

This week we nearly finished our second robot (affectionately named Charmeleon). We look forward to testing to see how it works next week and starting to use our new CNC router to build our final, competition robot!

This weekend we kept busy with the second version of our robot, and continued to build field elements. Our logistics team is busy working on submitting awards. Shout out to for helping us learn new skills! Looking forward to the next week.

We are excited to support in their mission to provide STEM and financial literacy to the next generation! We donated WeDo & Mindstorms as well as Explore and Challenge sets to expand their FIRST programming. We can’t wait to get to mentor some of the impacted students this fall!

Happy Flashback Friday! Today we go back to the last lunch at MBR where our FRC team organized a trash cleanup of the campus where MBR took place.

Happy Monday! This past weekend a couple students on our FRC team came to volunteer to help for an Earth Day Cleanup! Thank you to everyone that came to help!!
