ON THIS DAY 25 YEARS AGO
June 19th 2001 was a day that changed gaming forever as the best game ever was released!
Okay maybe I'm a bit biased but for good reason! I can remember begging my mom to take me to Wal Mart with my hard earned money to get a copy for Dreamcast which I still own to this day. Me and the siblings passed the controller around literally all day playing this gem of a game.
It was the first game in the Sonic series to let you play as the "bad guys" and introduced Shadow the Hedgehog to the world for the first time. Shadow would go on to become a staple character in the franchise, leading up to a starring role in the newest Sonic movie.
Do yourselves a favor everyone and go play an hour or two or twelve of this amazing game!!!

This New 3DS XL had its touch screen functionality messed up a bit and some pads got torn. Luckily there are alternate solder points for that connection. A few patch wires and we're good to go!

This all in one arcade machine needed a new screen and I was able to repurpose an old computer monitor for it. Waste not and all that!

This Neo Geo MVS 4 Slot board set was having trouble with the audio. It was coming through all kinds of garbled and glitchy. The Yamaha YM2610 sound chip was had rusty legs that were so bad some had fallen off. I assumed the chip was bad and so replaced it with a socket and a working one and the sound returned to normal!

Super Nintendo rescue! This one had some wonky video going on. Luckily it just needed the capacitors in the video circuit replaced and it's back in action. 😎
