Click through to the helicopter video and note the adjacent intact section of seawall: this is the section we designed the reconstruction for in 2012 the day after hurricane sandy wiped it out. We used DWYDAG rods and thrust blocks anchored upland and lightweight flowable fill behind wall to simultaneously mitigate and resist the lateral load.
Apparently it worked!!!
