The NY Rangers and Jersey Wolves will be holding Learn to Play at Clary Anderson Arena over ten sessions March 12th through May 14!

Learn to Play is a program that provides a unique opportunity for families to join the hockey community and for participants to develop fundamental skills to help them succeed both on and off the ice.
Participants must be between ages of 5 and 10 and have basic skating skills. Full equipment is provided, along with a Junior Rangers jersey!

Calling all homeschoolers! Come join our learn-to-skate group classes held exclusively for homeschooled students! Every Monday and Thursday at 1:30pm. Come early and stay after class for the public session from 1-2:30pm. $22 includes 30 minute group class, admission to the public session and skate rental.⁠

Our next featured instructor is GIANNA!

Gianna is an ISI Figure Skating Coach who loves to share her passion for skating through teaching! Before coaching, Gianna skated competitively, beginning at age 14. Since then, her passion for the sport has flourished! She believes that it is never too late to achieve your dreams and she encourages her students to do the same by remaining dedicated, trying their best, and having the most fun! Off the ice, Gianna is pursuing her bachelor's degree in fashion business at LIM College in New York City. She is excited to meet new students, and help them fall in love with figure skating and achieve their goals with the sport just as she did!

Meet our next featured instructor, DREW!

Drew has been teaching ice hockey and skating techniques for over 20 years, and specializes in power skating, hockey skills and playmaking. His lessons focus on understanding the science of skating, building strength, and improving skills and hockey techniques. His lessons are derived from power skating core tenets combined with in-game experiences. Our instructor highlights continue with STEPHANIE!

Stephanie is a current member of USFS, PSA, ISI and LTS with 29 years of teaching experience as a skating instructor. Prior to starting her teaching career, Stephanie was a competitive skater for 11 years starting at the age of 6 right here at Clary Anderson Arena! She has her Gold Medal in Figures and Freestyle and Pre-Silver in Ice Dancing. She was a 5-time Regional medalist, Sectional medalist and competed at Nationals in 1991 in Novice Ladies. She teaches Freestyle, Figures, Moves in the Field, Hockey Power Skating and Choreography.

When not on the ice, Stephanie is a Lieutenant with the Montclair Police Department where she has been a police officer for 26 years.
She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and also teaches police recruits at the Essex County Police Academy as an adjunct instructor. She loves teaching, whether on or off the ice, and believes that you should never stop learning in life. She loves teaching anyone from tots to adults and sharing her passion and love for skating!
