Rapha RehAbilities: Intensive Therapy Program
Day 14 of posting about our intensive therapy program
POV: When supported movement unlocks real progress šŖ
This is a leg exercise in the Universal Exercise Unit (UEU) ā designed to activate the core, hips, and legs while teaching the body how to move in a coordinated, functional way.
The UEU gives just enough support so patients can:
ā”ļø practice crawling patterns
ā”ļø build strength without compensations
ā”ļø gain confidence through success
Repetition + support + skilled therapy = š„ progress.

Day 13 of posting about our Intensive Therapy Program
š” Itās all in the details.
These shorts with dynamic bungee cords arenāt just equipmentātheyāre a tool for alignment, stability, and purposeful movement.
Each cord provides targeted support and resistance to help activate muscles, improve posture, and reinforce proper movement patterns.
This is what intentional, evidence-based therapy looks likeāup close. š

Day 12 of posting about our Intensive Therapy Program
⨠One Suit. Two Populations:- Children and Adults. Countless Possibilities. āØ
š§ For children, the TheraSuit helps support developing muscles, improve balance and coordination, and reinforce more efficient movement during play and functional activities.
š§ For adults, the TheraSuit helps retrain posture, reduce compensations, increase strength, and restore confidence in movement after neurological injury, orthopedic challenges, or long-term weakness.
The TheraSuit is a soft, dynamic orthotic system made up of a cap, vest, shorts, knee pads, and elastic cords that work together to gently align the body and provide external support where itās needed most.
What makes it special?
⨠It can be customized for each individual body
⨠It supports proper posture and alignment
⨠It helps activate muscles, improve stability, and enhance movement patterns
Thatās why the same suit can be used for both children and adults.
The suit doesnāt do the work ā the person does.
The TheraSuit simply gives the body the feedback it needs to move better, stronger, and more intentionally.
At Rapha Physical Therapy, we use the TheraSuit as part of our Intensive Therapy Program, tailoring every session to the person inside the suit ā not their age or diagnosis.
š Progress looks different at every stage of life ā but the goal is always the same: better movement, greater independence, and renewed hope.

Day 10 of posting about our Intensive Therapy program.
⨠Letās Talk About the LEG Portion of the TheraSuit āØ
The leg components of the TheraSuit are a game-changer for alignment, strength, and functional movement.
By using strategically placed elastic supports, the leg system helps:
⢠Improve alignment of the hips, knees, and ankles
⢠Activate the right muscles during standing, stepping, and walking
⢠Reduce compensatory patterns (like knee locking, toe walking, or sc******ng)
⢠Build strength and endurance through purposeful, repetitive movement
⢠Support more efficient gait patterns so practice actually translates to real life š¶āāļø
What makes this powerful is that the legs arenāt working in isolation. The TheraSuit leg components work with the core and trunk to give the brain clearer input about where the body is in spaceāhelping the nervous system learn better movement patterns.
š” This is not passive support.
Every step, squat, and weight shift becomes active therapy.
At Rapha, we use the leg portion of the TheraSuit during:
āļø Gait training
āļø Standing balance
āļø Transitional movements (sit ā stand)
āļø Functional strengthening
āļø Intensive therapy programs
Because when alignment improves, confidence followsāand so does progress. š

Day 9 of posting about our Intensive Therapy Program.
This is my daughterābeing checked for primitive reflexes.
Not as a patient.
Not as a diagnosis.
But as my why.
Primitive reflexes are those early movements babies are born with to help them survive and develop. When they donāt fully integrate, they can quietly affect posture, coordination, attention, emotional regulation, learning, and even confidenceālong after infancy.
As a mom and a therapist, Iāve seen firsthand how powerful it is when the body is finally given the opportunity to organize itself the way it was meant to.
Thatās why our Intensive Therapy Program looks deeper.
We donāt just treat symptomsāwe look at foundations.
We donāt rush progressāwe build it intentionally.
We donāt separate heart from scienceāwe lead with both.
Watching your own child go through the same assessments you provide for other families humbles you. It reminds you that behind every treatment plan is a child. A family. A future.
This work is personal.
This work is purposeful.
And this work changes livesābecause it changed ours.

Day 8 of posting about our Intensive Therapy program
This isnāt just a sit-up.
This is the nervous system learning how to work again.
With the TheraSuitĀ® and headgear on, weāre giving the body alignment, resistance, and sensory input while supporting a controlled sit-up.
This helps activate the core, improve head and trunk control, and retrain functional movement patterns that carry over into sitting, standing, and walking.
Please call us at 909-971-3092, email info@raphapt, DM us, or drop a commenr below!
Every assisted rep builds independence.

Day 7 of posting about our intensive therapy program.
š„ Adult Intensive Therapy Is a Choice ā And a Powerful One
Most adults are told,
āJust manage it.ā
āMaintenance is all you need.ā
āThis is as good as it gets.ā
But some adults choose more.
They choose to challenge old movement patterns.
They choose to rebuild strength instead of compensating.
They choose repetition, intensity, and consistency ā because progress still happens.
Our Adult Intensive Therapy Program is designed for individuals living with neurological, orthopedic, or complex movement conditions who are ready to retrain their bodies and reclaim function.
āļø Multiple hours per day
āļø One-on-one skilled therapy
āļø Focused on walking, balance, strength, and independence
āļø Built for real change ā not maintenance
Itās never ātoo late.ā
Itās never ātoo long ago.ā
And itās never ājust how it is.ā
šŖ Progress belongs to those who pursue it.
Please feel free to call us at 909-971-3092, email [email protected], or send a DM. We look forward to hearing from you!

Day 5 of posting about our Intensive Therapy program.
The Universal Exercise Unit (UEU) is a specialized therapy system that uses adjustable cords, pulleys, and support to help children safely build strength, coordination, balance, and functional movement. It allows therapists to partially support a childās body weight so they can practice movementsāsuch as standing, stepping, reaching, and transitioningāthat may not yet be possible independently, promoting confidence, motor learning, and meaningful progress.
When we first set up the Universal Exercise Unit, we didnāt see metal and cords.
We saw possibility.
This picture shows the UEU without all of the chords and weights. We were so proud of ourselves when we put it together.
We truly believed it would make a difference in the lives of the kids we serveāand over the years, it has exceeded every expectation. From first steps to newfound confidence, this space has held so many powerful moments.
This isnāt just therapy equipment.
Itās a place where strength is discovered, confidence is built, and hope grows. š
