Lately I have been performing lots of my Broadway Show Tunes shows and some of my World Folk Tales, Country and Sock Hop shows. I won an award from “The Bash” for my various band gigs and square dance calling. I have also enjoyed seeing some of my actor friends at various Equity auditions this month. Right now I’m in Chicago helping out with my Mom’s house. February looks busy for my senior shows and I will have a full schedule in March for my Irish shows. All the best to my actor & musician pals.

Throw Back Thursday- Two shows where I had to grow a beard.

1. Canterbury Tales- Broadway-1980. I played the Clerk of Oxford and several other roles.. Dir-Robert Johanson

2. Mother Courage- Nebraska Repertory Theatre-2018. I played an Irish Sergeant and several other roles. Dir- Andy Park.

I’m looking forward to doing some more theater in 2024- beard or no beard.

On the home front, we had a nice Christmas with my brother in law and sister in law. The girls cooked, Susan did the dishes and I was the chauffeur.

I am just finishing up my holiday shows for the season. I did a mix of Christmas, Chanukah and Kwanza songs.

Musician & Storyteller, Richard Stillman will be performing his “IRISH BALLADEER SHOW” in fourteen New Jersey libraries throughout the month of March. The show combines traditional Irish storytelling, music and step dancing. Some of the instruments used are: bagpipes, mandolin, banjo, guitar, concertina and penny whistle.

As an actor Richard has performed on Broadway, The Kennedy Center and in regional theaters from New Jersey to Alaska. As musician & storyteller he has performed his shows at thousands of schools, libraries and senior centers.

I had a good show at the Historic Newbridge Landing yesterday. Last week guitarist Paul Byrne and I also performed for an Irish family from Co. Roscommon. We ended the evening with a grand march to the bagpipes. I received another “Best of the Bash” Award for my Country, Bluegrass, Irish and Dixieland bands. It's awarded to performers who received several 5-star reviews on TheBash.com. I will be performing 12 Irish Balladeer Shows in March throughout New Jersey. I'll post details in a few weeks.
