Mini-vacation time on the Podclair end ☀️ After reaching our 100th episode we decided it was the perfect time to have a little R&R....take a little pause, enjoy the weather and time with friends & family.
We have had so many guests over the years that help shape the community, and we hope you'll take this time off to go back and listen or re-listen to the conversations we've had. Make sure to visit their places of business, tag them to photos you may take there and comment in the sections below their episode posts here.
Know we are still here and checking the inbox, so please message us with questions you may have, guest interests and even just to say hi!
We hope you are enjoying the start to summer and continue to practice safety and kindness as we transition into a new sense of normalcy with the pandemic.
And please remember, our community is nothing without us so shop locally as much as possible, stop in and visit as you can, and help support with posting, tagging, and providing reviews. Every bit counts, and your efforts go a long way for those businesses and to their families.
Talk to you on the airwaves again soon!

"We're here to serve the community on a mission founded and centered around the idea that an informed community is a better community....It has less to do with how many clicks or how many subscribers or what revenue in a particular month we bring in than it is whether those things are a means to an end, to making sure people are informed in useful ways."

"You could get all of our news without ever getting the paper, if that's not your preferred way of reading it. But it is sort of a weekly reminder that this exists and that we're here doing the work and just kind of jumps out in front of you, you know, in your mailbox and reminds you that there are things happening in your community."

"We recently hired what we're calling a human connections reporter...The person we brought into that role is bilingual, has done a lot of reporting around LGBTQ issues, around Latino issues specifically, and in his previous job is deeply invested in the idea that there are stories to be told outside of his own personal experience, but also comes from a place where some of his personal experience is reflective of a variety of experience that not all the rest of us on staff have."
