Montclair Adjunct Union AFT Local 6025

Proud to take part in Lobby Day with AFTNJ and meet with legislators from across the state to advocate for restoring cuts to the higher education budget. Investing in higher education is an investment in our students, our communities, and New Jersey's future.

On May 25, our own VP at Large, Carl Gunhouse, spoke in Trenton alongside AFTNJ President Jennifer Higgins, advocating for summer unemployment benefits for adjunct faculty.

Their efforts help raise awareness about the challenges adjuncts face and the importance of ensuring they have access to the support they need between semesters.

Thank you to Carl and all those working to advance fairness and economic security for adjunct educators.

🦅 Red Hawk Recognition Day 🦅

Local 6025 was proud to be part of Red Hawk Recognition Day, celebrating the strength, achievements, and spirit of our community.

We hosted an information table where attendees could learn more about our union, connect with members, and pick up one of our Local 6025 giveaway cups. It was great to meet so many people and have conversations throughout the day.

We were also honored to sponsor the musicians whose talent and energy helped make the event a success. Supporting local events and bringing people together is an important part of who we are.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, enjoyed the music, and helped make the day memorable. We look forward to continuing to support opportunities that strengthen community connections and celebrate the people who make our region special.

What an incredible evening at our Annual Awards Dinner at the Valley Regency! ✨

With nearly 90 attendees, the night was filled with great energy, connection, and celebration. Guests enjoyed a delicious four-course dinner, a live band, and the opportunity to come together as a community to recognize outstanding achievements.
