Montclair Baseball Softball Club runs travel programs for ages 8-14, as well as learn-to-play t-ball, coach pitch and rookie softball programs for pre-K thru 2nd grade.
Summer ball 🥎⚾️ is getting underway but we wanted to give a huge thanks and congrats to all our Spring MBSC players. 👏🏾👏🏾 You played hard and showed a love of the game and your teammates. 💙 We had nearly 400 children participate in our programs from T-ball to Rookie Softball to Coach Pitch Baseball to our Travel Baseball and Softball teams 8U-14U. ⚾️🥎 It was a season of growth, fun, friendships, championships, 🏆 and yes even some heartbreaks. 💔 But we are so proud of every one of you and grateful to our volunteer coaches and parents who help support them on and off the field. 🙌🏾 Let’s keep showing up and play ball! Here’s to a great summer season ☀️
🧢 Hats off to our 8U Bulldogs ⚾️ team. They won the American Metro Division championship defeating Caldwell Chiefs 13-6. 🏆 It was a great journey! In the semis and finals, we beat the #1 and #2 seeded teams by a combined score of 27-10, after beating the #3 team in the quarters. 🙌🏾🙌🏾

👏🏾👏🏾 Congrats to our 12U Montclair Bulldogs 🥎 that represented the MBSC at the Montville/Greater Essex 12U All Star Softball Game on Thursday - Lauren W Taylin H Phoebe C and Tess VN 🎉
Another one for MBSC ⚾️ Congrats to 9U Blue who won the American North Division Championship on Sunday with a 8-5 vin over Verona. 🙌🏾 The title caps off a perfect 12-0 season. 🔥 Down 5-0 to start the game after the first inning, 😲 the Bulldogs stormed back with 8 unanswered runs for the win. 👏🏾👏🏾 Every player contributed to another all around team win for the Bulldogs! Congrats on a perfect season and a Championship! 🏆

🙌🏾🙌🏾 Congratulations to the 12U Blue Bulldogs ⚾️ (Coach Jimmy Moore) who, in their final season and final game on their beloved Mountainside 50/70 field, took home the Championship with a win over Chatham. 👏🏾👏🏾 It was a competitive game with a close 6-5 finish. George R. got the start and pitched 4 strong innings, giving up just 3 runs and striking out 5. 🔥 James N. got the Hold and Jack K. delivered a dramatic Save. Auggie E. and Liam M. each had 2 RBIs to pace the Bulldogs! Congrats to the coaching staff and players on winning the Championship! 🏆

📣📣 We are now registering for our 2026-2027 travel baseball season. ⚾️⚾️ Tryouts will be held June 12 at Kaveny Field, 72 Walnut Street, Montclair.
✋🏾 PLAYER’S MUST ATTEND in THEIR AGE GROUP.
✅ 5PM - rising 10U players are those born 5/1/16 thru 4/30/17
✅ 6PM - rising 11U players are those born 5/1/15 thru 4/30/16
✅ 7PM - rising 12U players are those born 5/1/14 thru 4/30/15
✋ TRYOUTS ARE FOR MONTCLAIR RESIDENTS OR THOSE ATTENDING MONTCLAIR SCHOOLS ONLY.
‼️Please take note of a new process for this upcoming season: We are shifting to a single tryout instead of two per year. The team that is selected from this tryout will remain together for a full season that mirrors the academic year (that is, for 2026 Fall season, 2027 Winter workouts, and the 2027 Spring/Summer season). Tryouts for the Fall 26 Junior Mounties Travel Baseball ⚾️ will take place on Tuesday, June 9 at 3:15 pm for players born prior to 5/1/14 and in 7th or 8th grade (during the 26-27 school year).
The Junior Mounties are for players at the 13U and 14U levels, with an affiliation to the Montclair High School (MHS) baseball program. The teams are coached by MHS Head Baseball Coach Ron Gavazzi and his staff. Because the Junior Mounties program is designed to prepare players for high school baseball, teams may be organized by grade level rather than age group. Junior Mounties are only open to MONTCLAIR RESIDENTS THAT ATTEND MONTCLAIR PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
