The purpose of our page is to raise community awareness about MAU and our services.

The Mission of the Montclair Ambulance Unit (MAU) is to provide first rate, emergency medical service to the people of the township of Montclair. We are a non-profit, independent ambulance service and operate 24/7 365 days a year.

POV: You hop in ASAP No.15 during one of the busiest days of the year at the 🚑🎡

Huge kudos to Prem for safely navigating the crowds, keeping an eye out for pets, kids, and everything in between while moving through Walnut Street.

Did you get a chance to spot Unit 15 at the fair? 👀

Bad at soccer, good at EMS ⚽🚑

The World Cup kicks off today and our team decided to try our soccer skills… and we immediately remembered we were only trained for emergencies, not footwork 🤣

Thank you to Nonprofit Made Easy for helping us launch our Ambulances Cost a Latte campaign at the Walnut Street Fair🎉

If every resident in Montclair contributed to MAU in place of ordering a latte one day, it would help us raise enough to fully equip one of our ambulances.

A look back at EMS Week 💙🚑

We celebrated our EMTs in so many ways! We had dinners with the and , where EMS Supervisor Bertoli was named one of Mountside’s EMTs of the Year. We enjoyed breakfast sandwiches from , pizza from and crew meals from . At our own pizza party, we welcomed four elected officials and other esteemed guests who showed tremendous support for our crews.

We received a great message of support from , and Montclair Township Council read a great proclamation into the record, acknowledging our service to the community since 1953.

Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate EMS Week and acknowledged our team for their contribution to the health and safety of our community…

We truly couldn’t do it without you.

Did you know? The Montclair History Center partnered with us to digitize and preserve 70 years of our history, including photos and documents dating back to our founding in 1953?

The project captures our evolution from a volunteer service to a full-time EMS agency at 95 Walnut Street 📍

Congratulations to them on receiving the 2026 Innovative Archives Award from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) New Jersey Caucus. A well-deserved recognition for their work in preserving local history 👏

The digitized collection is available through their online catalog, helping ensure MAU’s legacy is preserved for generations to come.
