Our flock spent their first day in the new run🎉
This has been in the works for quite some time and, while it’s still not ‘complete’, it’s functional which is all we need until spring.

They seem to be loving the unlimited coop access throughout the day which is something we weren’t able to provide before. They also have a lot more protection from the elements in the run itself which is a must for a winter like this one! This run makes everything much more convenient with the chickens and keeps them extra safe; I absolutely love how it came out!🐓

Looks like Santa stopped by the farm a few days early… We can’t honestly expect him to get it all done in only one night🎅🏻🎄🎁

We hit a new egg record yesterday! Our girls laid 7 eggs in one day (we have 10 hens, all between 5-6 months old)🥚🥚

Subtle but ✨stunning✨
🍃Variegated heartleaf philodendron in a 5” hanging pot, $25.
The white in the leaves starts off strong and then fades into a green-on-green as it develops. It’s a fast grower and can tolerate a wide range of light (growth time will vary).

Our girls spoil us🫶🥚

The work on the new chicken run continues🔨

Check out all the baby venus fly traps we have sprouting in the greenhouse🌿🪰
🍃I planted 84 Venus fly trap seeds (7 different cultivars) a month ago & so far there are lots of sprouts! From what I’ve read, they take a long time to mature when grown from seed but I’m up for the challenge.
This has been a really fun and easy project in the greenhouse! All I do is make sure there is moisture within the humidity tray at all times and let them grow (under a grow light for now because it’s winter).
