This morning, Monroeville Foundation President Felicia Thomas had the opportunity to speak at the Monroeville Area Chamber Of Commerce M.O.R.E. event about the exciting work happening within the Foundation and the future of community engagement in Monroeville.

The presentation highlighted our upcoming All American Weekend celebration and the beloved Monroeville Jazz Festival — events that continue to bring together residents, businesses, community leaders, and visitors from across the region.

As we prepare to celebrate Monroeville’s 75th anniversary alongside America’s 250th anniversary, we are grateful for the partnerships and support that continue to help us grow our impact in the community.

Rain may have delayed us last Saturday for Jack Sedlack Memorial Clean Up Day, but today we showed up and got it done.

In partnership with the incredible team from Bank of America – Monroeville Branch, we spent the day cleaning Pioneer Park and Patton Park—removing everything from beer cans and broken lighters to cigarette butts and even diapers.

What stood out most is this: Monroeville residents already do a great job caring for our parks. With just a little extra effort through community events like this, we can take our spaces from great to truly amazing.

Thank you to our partners at Bank of America for stepping up and giving back. This is what community looks like.
