🔥 **Stress or Burnout? Knowing the Difference Matters.** 🔥
Stress and burnout can feel similar, but they're not the same thing.
**Stress** often feels like:
✔️ Too much to do
✔️ Feeling overwhelmed
✔️ Racing thoughts
✔️ Worrying about deadlines or responsibilities
With stress, you may still feel hopeful that once things settle down, you'll feel better.
**Burnout** often feels like:
❌ Constant exhaustion
❌ Feeling emotionally drained
❌ Loss of motivation
❌ Detachment from work, family, or activities you once enjoyed
Burnout isn't simply "being busy." It's what can happen when stress continues for too long without enough rest, support, or recovery.
If you've been telling yourself, "I just need to push through," it may be worth asking:
💭 Am I stressed... or am I burned out?
Recognizing the difference is the first step toward making meaningful changes.
If you're struggling, know that support is available.

🌿 Sunday Reset: Plan Your Self-Care Like You Plan Everything Else 🌿
As you look ahead to the coming week, you've probably thought about work schedules, appointments, errands, and family responsibilities.
But have you planned any time for yourself?
Self-care doesn't have to mean a spa day, a vacation, or hours of free time. Sometimes it looks like:
✔️ Going to bed 30 minutes earlier
✔️ Taking a walk after dinner
✔️ Reading a few pages of a book you enjoy
✔️ Saying "no" to one thing that will overwhelm your schedule
✔️ Calling a friend you've been meaning to catch up with
✔️ Scheduling your therapy appointment
The truth is, self-care is most effective when it's intentional. If we wait until we're completely drained, it becomes much harder to prioritize.
Before the week begins, ask yourself:
What's one thing I can do this week to take care of myself?
Then put it on your calendar the same way you would any other important commitment.
Because you are an important commitment, too. 💙

🌿 Friday Reflection 🌿
As another week comes to a close, take a moment to ask yourself:
What is one thing that went right this week?
Not the biggest accomplishment.
Not the thing you haven't finished yet.
Not the item still sitting on your to-do list.
Just one thing that went right.
Maybe you made it through a difficult day.
Maybe you had a meaningful conversation.
Maybe you took a walk, got some extra rest, or simply kept going when things felt hard.
We often spend so much time focusing on what's next that we forget to acknowledge how far we've already come.
Before you move into the weekend, give yourself credit for the effort you've put in this week—especially the parts no one else saw.
Wishing everyone a restful weekend ahead. 💙

Anxiety Doesn't Take the Summer Off
The days are longer. The weather is nicer. Vacation photos are filling up social media.
And yet, anxiety doesn't always get the memo.
For many people, summer can bring its own unique stressors:
☀️ Changes in routine
☀️ Family gatherings and social events
☀️ Financial pressure from vacations and activities
☀️ Childcare challenges when school is out
☀️ Feeling like you're "supposed" to be enjoying yourself
Anxiety doesn't always look like panic attacks. Sometimes it shows up as overthinking, irritability, difficulty sleeping, trouble relaxing, or constantly feeling on edge.
If you've been carrying more stress than usual lately, you're not alone. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health.
Small steps matter:
✔️ Maintain routines when possible
✔️ Prioritize sleep
✔️ Make time for activities that help you recharge
✔️ Reach out for support when you need it
You don't have to navigate anxiety by yourself.
If anxiety is impacting your daily life, the therapists at Integrity Psychological Services are here to help.

🍩 Happy National Donut Day from Integrity Psychological Services 🍩
If mental health had donut flavors, we’re pretty sure the “mixed dozen” would include:
✨ Sprinkles = pretending to have it all together
🍫 Chocolate frosted = emotionally exhausted but still functioning
🍓 Jelly-filled = carrying way more stress than anyone realizes
🍩 Glazed = just trying to survive the week
☕ Coffee & donut combo = the closest thing to self-care lately
The truth is, everyone’s dealing with something — and no two people’s struggles look exactly the same.
Wherever you’re at today, we hope you find a little time for yourself, a little kindness toward yourself… and maybe a donut too.
Now the important question:
What’s the BEST donut flavor? 👀

✨ Provider Spotlight: Kristen Haugh, LPC ✨
“Are you worried that your problems are too small for therapy? They aren’t.”
Kristen Haugh believes therapy should feel supportive, approachable, and judgment-free — whether you’re navigating something overwhelming or simply feeling stuck and needing a place to sort things out.

• stress and burnout
• relationship struggles
• life transitions

Men’s mental health doesn’t always look the way people expect it to.
Sometimes it looks like:
irritability instead of sadness
shutting down instead of opening up
working constantly to avoid thinking
feeling disconnected from family or friends
carrying stress quietly because “other people have it worse”
believing you just need to push through it
A lot of men spend years trying to manage anxiety, stress, burnout, grief, relationship struggles, or depression completely on their own. Reaching out for support doesn’t mean you’re weak — it means you’re human.
At Integrity Psychological Services, we provide a supportive space for men to talk openly, build coping tools, and work through the things that often go unspoken.
You don’t have to wait until things completely fall apart to ask for help.

One minute you’re packing lunches, sitting through dance recitals, helping with homework, and hearing “Mom!” or “Dad!” every five minutes.
Then suddenly… they’re graduating.
For many parents, this season brings pride, excitement, and joy — but also grief, anxiety, loneliness, uncertainty, and a quiet question that can feel difficult to say out loud:
“Who am I now that my child doesn’t need me in the same way anymore?”
The transition into an empty nest can be emotional, even when it’s a healthy and positive milestone. Parents often find themselves grieving routines, identity shifts, changing family dynamics, or the realization that time moved much faster than expected.
At Integrity Psychological Services, therapists like Kim Henry, Kristen Haugh, and Sheila Wood work with individuals navigating life transitions, family changes, anxiety, stress, grief, and the emotional complexity that can come with parenting through major milestones.
You do not have to minimize what you’re feeling just because your child’s next chapter is something to celebrate. Two things can be true at once: pride and grief, excitement and sadness, hope and uncertainty.
And you do not have to navigate those feelings alone.

Trauma can affect every part of a person’s life — relationships, sleep, work, parenting, physical health, self-esteem, and the ability to feel safe or fully present day to day.
And trauma does not always come from one major event. It can stem from childhood experiences, grief, abuse, medical experiences, toxic relationships, loss, chronic stress, first responder work, or experiences that others may not even realize have had a lasting impact.
At Integrity Psychological Services, we have multiple providers with specialized trauma training, including EMDR therapy, who work with individuals navigating the effects of trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm.
Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where healing can happen at your pace — without judgment and without pressure.
You do not have to “just live with it.” Healing is possible, and support is available.
