How to explain your wedding flowers so you actually get what you want.

TIP FOR BRIDES 🤍

One thing I run into a lot when talking with brides is that they know what they like, but they don’t always know how to explain why they like it.

They’ll show me a few photos and say, “I love this,” but those photos might all be completely different. And that’s actually really normal.

The best tip I can give you when explaining your wedding flowers to your florist is: don’t just show them the photo — tell them what you like about it.

Maybe you love the shape but not the colors. Maybe it’s how loose it feels, the contrast, the negative space, or how dramatic it is. And tell them what you don’t like, too.

You do not need to know flower names. You just need to tell them what your eye keeps going back to.

That gives them so much more to work with.

The entire floral design for this wedding — including Averi’s cascading bridal bouquet — began 16 months before the wedding day.

The flowers were cultivated specifically for her, with the finished design in mind long before the wedding day arrived.

And when I finally arranged them, every decision—the shape, movement, balance, placement, and scale—was made for Averi.

There is no second version of this bouquet.

There won’t be another bride carrying it.

I’ve spent an enormous amount of time studying floral design, and I’ve had a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from two of the most influential designers in the country. I take this work seriously, and I want to offer something that feels genuinely different from what brides are used to seeing.

Not a standard floral package.
Not someone else’s wedding recreated in a different color palette.
Not a bouquet that can simply be ordered again.

The way I arrange flowers is part of the design itself, and that is what makes each Flower Rill wedding impossible to duplicate exactly.

Averi’s flowers were hers.

The next bride’s should feel just as specific to her.
