FORSYTHE PARK PLAYGROUND PROJECT. Please mention “playground” in memo when donating. 🥰 We are so grateful to those who supported our vision. To be continued…

The Miracles To Milestones Playground was completed in Destrehan, Louisiana in June of 2014. The day the concrete dried, we made our move to North Louisiana, and we were fortunate to join the West Monroe Civitan Club to assist with support and funding for an amazing inclusive playground, Smiles Park, in Kiroli Park in West Monroe, LA. Today, Benjamin Bear stands tall at the center of the playgrou

🍋 THIS SATURDAY is Lemonade Stand Day! 🍋

We're looking for kids, families, neighborhoods, churches, businesses and anyone who wants to help us put the finishing touches on Northeast Louisiana's first inclusive playground.

If you've been thinking about hosting a lemonade stand, now's the time!
Send us a message to register your stand and pick up your official yard sign. Then set up your table, pour some lemonade, and help us raise the final dollars needed to complete the playground at Forsythe Park.

Every cup sold brings us one step closer to opening a place where children of all abilities can laugh, play, and make memories together.

Let's make Northeast Louisiana the sweetest place to be this Saturday. 🍋💛

Message us today to reserve your sign!

We have some exciting news... Lemonade Stand Day is BACK! 🍋💛

Over the past few years, this has become one of our favorite traditions. We've watched children across Northeast Louisiana set up lemonade stands, neighbors stop to support them, and our community come together one cup at a time to help build something bigger than all of us.

As many of you have noticed, construction at Forsythe Park has taken a little longer than we hoped. The playground is coming together beautifully, but the recent rain has delayed the concrete work and pushed our timeline back just a bit.
The good news is we're getting close.

Because of a few unexpected construction costs, we have one final fundraising goal to help us complete the project. Every dollar raised during Lemonade Stand Day will go directly toward the remaining framing and installation costs so we can get this playground finished and open for every child in our community.

So we're asking families, neighborhoods, churches, businesses, and anyone who wants to be part of this incredible story to join us on Saturday, July 18.

Set up a lemonade stand.
Invite your friends.
Sell a few cups of lemonade.
Help us finish what this community started.

If you'd like to host a stand, registration is now open! Send us a message and we'll get you everything you need to participate.

Let's fill Northeast Louisiana with lemonade stands one more time and help create a place where all children can play as one. 💛🍋

We are in the home stretch! Tomorrow is the day we need the 💪🏻 💪🏻 💪🏻 ‼️‼️‼️ We have made SO much progress over the last two days and tomorrow is the day we need heavy lifting, moving and carrying all of the pieces. We are starting at Forsythe Park at 7 am and working most of the day. Please note that there is a 5k at the park at 9 am so it may be easier to park on Riverside and walk over but we would love any help!! We are almost there!!

💛 what started as a dream is quickly becoming a reality.

Seeing volunteers show up with work gloves, water bottles, friends, family members and willing hearts reminded us exactly why this project has come so far. This playground is being built by a community that cares deeply about its children and believes every child deserves a place to play.

We still need help today and tomorrow as we continue building and putting the finishing touches on the inclusive playground at Forsythe Park. Whether you can give an hour or the whole day, we would love to have you.

We truly would not be here without our volunteers, donors and this incredible community. Thank you for believing in this project and helping us create a place where all children can play as one. 💛

Thanks to this amazing community!!!

Monroe’s second inclusive playground is officially on the way to Forsythe Park! 🌟

What does that mean? It means this new space is being designed for children, and adults, with different mobility needs, creating a place where everyone can play, explore, and belong.

Following the success of the Sister Margaret Ann Sanders‑Jackson Inclusive Playground at Benoit Rec Center, we’re keeping the momentum going and continuing our commitment to building spaces where every child feels included.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and believed in this project. Your generosity is what’s turning this vision into real progress.

You’ll start seeing work soon, so please pardon our progress. Summer is coming, and while timelines can shift, our goal is to welcome families to this new play space as the season arrives. 💛💙

Stay tuned for updates, including opportunities to volunteer and be part of the build! For more on this project and its timeline, visit oneroe.city/parks
