Raising Spirits
If I learned anything writing this it’s that I really need to know a little bit more about the story before I just let it pour out.
This took longer than planned but I feel good it will still be out in plenty of time to make it onto everyone’s spooky season TBRs.
Now I need to focus on all the things I’ve ignored like social media and marketing.

Thanks to a 3-day weekend, the first pass at editing my next spooky cozy fantasy novel is done. The word count barely shifted but quite a few were both removed and added, so it has more of the right words.
It’s still rough. It needs at least one more, not two passes before it’s ready for my editor to take a crack at it.

Started in on editing, going chapter by chapter making small changes and catching a lot of typos. Also making notes for later chapters where I realize there is a good tie in.
Tomorrow I won’t get any edits done. I’ll be at a signing event at Brick & Mortar Books in Redmond. Come by and say hi.

After several false starts and rewrites, the final pre-edit draft of my new spooky cozy fantasy novel is complete.
I’ll spend the next couple of weeks editing and revising myself before sending to my editor on June 1.

Ran out of steam a bit tonight at the end of a busy week, but I’m looking forward to dumping the rest of the words out this weekend. Four to five chapters left. I’ll have my new spooky cozy fantasy novel all wrapped up by Sunday evening.
