My body is absolutely going to hate me tomorrow.. first cutting 2026 is off the field and in the barn! 210 bales! πŸ’ͺβ˜€οΈπŸŒΎ

And this year was not without hay drama. My farmer from last year decided to not do hay anymore. Another farmer I asked and had agreed, backed out, he didn’t have time for my field. Finally found a farmer down the street but he doesn’t have a hay bale wagon so that’s why I had to pull the hay off the field myself. And why it was about 2-3 weeks late with cutting, plus rain. πŸ™„

Farm Day 2026!! Our 7th year traveling up to the Eastpointe Learning Center. Willow, Reese, Ricky, Darla, Skittles, Elliot and Finn received many pets and had loads of pictures taken. They all were very well behaved and made me proud. πŸ“šπŸšŒπŸΆπŸπŸ°πŸ΄

My littlest seasonal visitors have officially arrived. πŸ’• Two days ago at breakfast my little male hummingbird came and checked out my flowers. I promptly put out the hummingbird feeder. Today, my little female decided to make her appearance. (The male showed up shortly after I took these pictures)

They both approve of my flower choices. πŸ’•πŸŒ»πŸŒΊπŸͺ»

Flower boxes and planters before and after! Brought back my favorite Dahlias for my big pots. In each of the flower boxes is a Lobelia, Verbena, Snapdragon, Celosia and a Salvia (Vista Lavender) plant. I wanted a bit of something different and an array of colors. Still have my hanging pots to do but these were first. 🌸🌺πŸͺ»πŸŒ»
