Most IRS notices are time-sensitive. The longer they sit unopened, the more stressful the situation can become.

The letter could be about:
• Identity verification
• Missing information
• Balances owed
• Payment options
• Return issues

Even if you can’t pay immediately, understanding WHAT the notice says is the first step.
