A simple step of changing your posture to match your character can make a dramatic impact. Try walking like them, talking like them, take on their personality. You no longer are a person in a costume, you become the character.

Original art T-shirt by Ro Higashi I got many years ago. Still so comfy and so cute. She should make more of her bun bun bunny stuff 😚

Trying to model the Clow Book from Cardcaptor Sakura using Blender. It's just the cover for now, eventually we'll get the whole book out.

Modeling process:
I was surprised I had better results than I expected, at least on the modeling side. If I treat Blender as a CAD program I can go much farther by over using the Boolean tool. I was trained how to do 3D modeling in AutoCad many years ago, so the organic modeling styles of Nomad Sculpt doesn't feel naturally to me (kinda like how I draw using vectors 10x faster than a pencil). I really need to spend time learning AutoCad Fusion.

3D printing process:
I scaled it small to make print time faster, to test how my Blender made STL file prints. The layer lines look horrible on the top, but watching Instagram reels of other people's prints I guess that's a common issue with a known fix of rotating the print.
This is a practice machine for more, I'm waiting for the Bambu sale to get a machine that I don't need to fiddle with the leveling all the time and can do multiple colors. Also without an enclosure I'm uncomfortable printing on this Ender V3 without babysitting it, so no long prints for me

🥂 to good progress on my learning journey.

Cosplay tip - Iconic Elements

Want to be recognized, just add the key elements of your favorite character and people will spot you and scream your name. "Baby Mario!!!" Is cosplayed by . This is a closet cosplay in which we just pulled clothes out of her closet. Ok yes I bought the hat for her, but it can still be reused in normie life. I added the mini NES for an extra emphasis since I forgot to put the Iconic M on Mario's hat

There's no need to worry so much about accuracy, just have fun.

I'll be presenting Cosplay 101 and a Thermoplastics Cosplay Wirkshop (Worbla and melty beads) at the Granite Falls in June and July

I learned that you can bend a paperclip to hang art on
- mesh walls
- grid walls
- pegboards

Positive:

There are more places that sell them than S hooks (great in a pinch)

More cost efficient (for those who misplace things a lot 😅)

Pliable so you can change the angle for different thickness 'walls'

Thinner than most other hooks which make it easier to get into the holes (my frame hooks won't work with this mesh wall)

Negative:
It's elongated, so it holds the piece lower.

More thought needs to be put into how to use the space and potentially overlap the hook with more art

I'll try to make a future post about how I made my mesh walls

Who's excited for the reboot of the Yona of the Dawn anime. I believe it continues where it last left off in 2015.

My Kokeshi acrylic charms are based on olden Japanese wooden dolls, turned kawaii style

I got distracted during a customer transaction by her amazing Apple Ring. She made it out of clay. She's considering becoming an art teacher like her mom. 🍎
