Many guys carry a gun and maybe a spare magazine and check the box. There are way fewer people who carry a tourniquet on them for their EDC. Being prepared has a lot more to do than just having a gun. You're more likely to use medical gear than a firearm. Having a tourniquet in your truck isn't good enough if it isn't on you. If the bleeding is severe from a major extremity, you should have a tourniquet applied within 30 seconds. No one is running back to their vehicle to grab a tourniquet and then using it in under 30 seconds. It's the same concept with a firearm. If you keep your gun in your truck, you aren't prepared for the fight. You are unarmed and incapable of defending yourself or others.

One training aid available is the SIRT pistol. It stands for Shot Indicating Reset Trigger, developed by Mike Hughes from next-level training. This training, added in with the LASR X application and a projector, is invaluable. You can either use it on a computer desktop or cell phone. I would highly advise many people to go this route.

I choose G***k for EDC/self-defense because they are reliable. I've put somewhere between 50,000 and 100,000 rounds over the last decade and a half, and virtually no malfunctions other than reloaded ammo. With options like what we have today, your self-defense gun should be able to do the same. If not, ask yourself when you want the weapon to malfunction. It's one thing if it does it on the range, but it's completely different if it happens to you when the time matters.

It is better to be in the company of a few good men than in an entire company of corrupt men. To lead others, you must first have the ability to lead yourself. To be a leader, you have to be able to make difficult decisions and make sacrifices, and most people can't do that because they seek comfort and appeasement.

Shooting in a low-light scenario is something many don't train for. Its something that can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. You can't pick the time and place for a fight. The bad guy picks it on his terms. So if you want to be efficient in reacting to a threat at night. You need to find the time to train in low-light scenarios. Having chickens is another addition to being prepared. Having a gun by itself doesn't make you prepared. It's being well-rounded in everything. This includes having fi****ms and being well trained, having medical gear and training. Having hunting, trapping, and animal processing skills. Being physically fit, having backup generators and communications. Having mobility capabilities to include being on foot and having a reliable 4-wheel drive truck or SUV, growing fruits and vegetables, and more. If you're not where you want to be yet, that's okay. Life is a journey to strive to be better daily. No man or woman should compete with any other man, woman, or organization. You should be competing to be better today than you were yesterday. A lot of people are fake on social media anyway. Life is short, so spend your time on skills, knowledge, wisdom, and experience. Those are things only you can give yourself, and no one else can take from you. This is the real American dream. Improving ourselves daily to make our families, communities and country better.
